A Survey of SIR‐Based Differential Epidemic Models for Control and Security Against Malware Propagation in Computer Networks

open access: yesSECURITY AND PRIVACY, Volume 9, Issue 1, January/February 2026.
ABSTRACT Unarguably, malware and their variants have metamorphosed into objects of attack and cyber warfare. These issues have directed research focus to modeling infrastructural settings and infection scenarios, analyzing propagation mechanisms, and conducting studies that highlight optimized remedial measures.

Distributional Properties of means of Random Probability Measures [PDF]

open access: yes
The present paper provides a review of the results concerning distributional properties of means of random probability measures. Our interest in this topic has originated from inferential problems in Bayesian Nonparametrics.

Stieltjes transforms on new generalized functions

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 2001
We introduce a Stieltjes transform on the equivalence classes of a new generalized function which has been successfully developed by Colombeau. Subsets of rapid descent test functions, 𝒮(ℝn), as well as tempered distributions, 𝒮′(ℝn), are used to ...

The Hausdorff mean of a Fourier-Stieltjes transform

open access: yes, 1992
It is shown that the integral Hausdorff mean T μ ^ T\hat \mu of the Fourier-Stieltjes transform of a measure on the real line is the Fourier transform of an

Fuzzy States to Enhance Train Delay Prediction of Markov Chains

open access: yesIET Intelligent Transport Systems, Volume 20, Issue 1, January/December 2026.
This study introduces Markov chains with fuzzy delay states with triangular membership functions for the first time to model train delay predictions. It is shown that the prediction errors can be reduced by the fuzzification adoption. ABSTRACT Markov chains provide distinctive advantages and practical applicability in modeling of train delays.

Facts about the Fourier-Stieltjes Transform of Vector Measures on Compact Groups

open access: yesInternational Journal of Analysis and Applications, 2013
This paper gives an interpretation of the Fourier-Stieltjes transform of vector measures by means of the tensor product of Hilbert spaces. It also extends the Kronecker product to some operators arising from the Fourier-Stieltjes transformation and ...

Continuous‐Time Quantum Walk on the Homogeneous Tree

open access: yesIET Quantum Communication, Volume 7, Issue 1, January/December 2026.
In this paper, we discuss the continuous time quantum walk on the homogeneous tree. We use the idea of stratification, considering the vertices of the same stratum in the homogeneous tree as one vertex, and we have time evolution for the homogeneous tree part. When the number of stratums of the homogeneous tree part S !

Inversion Theorems for the Laplace-Stieltjes Transform

open access: yes, 1966
The Laplace-Stieltjes transform f(x) of the function α(t) is denned by1where α(t) is a function of bounded variation in each closed interval [0, R] (R > 0) and the right-hand side of (1) is supposed to be convergent for some x = X0.

One‐level densities in families of Grössencharakters associated to CM elliptic curves

open access: yesMathematika, Volume 72, Issue 1, January 2026.
Abstract We study the low‐lying zeros of a family of L$L$‐functions attached to the complex multiplication elliptic curve Ed:y2=x3−dx$E_d \;:\; y^2 = x^3 - dx$, for each odd and square‐free integer d$d$. Specifically, upon writing the L$L$‐function of Ed$E_d$ as L(s−12,ξd)$L(s-\frac{1}{2}, \xi _d)$ for the appropriate Grössencharakter ξd$\xi _d$ of ...

Heterogeneous Media Heat Transfer Simulations Based on 3D‐Fractional Parametric Laplace Kernel

open access: yesInternational Journal of Differential Equations, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
This paper introduces a new Mittag–Leffler–Laplace memory kernel defined by Φ˜μ,ν,κα,ρs=∫0∞Eρ−μξκ/κξνα−1e−sξdξ, s>0, and develops a unified framework for modeling heat transfer in heterogeneous media with nonlocal temporal memory. The proposed kernel combines algebraic singularity, stretched attenuation, and fractional relaxation through independent ...
