A regenerated cellulose (RC) hydrogel‐based SERS substrate integrating a Marangoni‐transferred gold nanoparticle self‐assembled monolayer (Au‐SAM) is fabricated. Reswelling‐induced hotspot formation enhances polystyrene micro/nanoplastics (PS MNPs) detection in complex matrices, providing reproducible, high‐throughput SERS signals across diverse ...

Grain boundaries (GBs) in polycrystalline materials often block charge transport and drive degradation. Using Gd‐doped CeO2 as a model electrolyte used in fuel/electrolysis cells, we developed a core‐shell infiltration method to selectively modify GB chemistry and space charge potential, achieving orders‐of‐magnitude ionic conductivity changes.

In this work, we use direct ink writing (DIW) to 3D print Bi2Te3‐based materials and naturally induce hierarchical functional nanostructures, which reduced the lattice thermal conductivity by half, resulting in high zT of 0.87and 0.89 in p‐type and n‐type compounds, respectively, competitive with commercial materials.

Evanescent stimulated Raman scattering in benzene-immersed fluorophosphate optical nanofibers [PDF]
Optical nanofibers (ONFs) made from fluorophosphate glass (OHARA - FPM) enable strong confinement, low losses, and enhanced evanescent fields for nonlinear optics. We show that the HE₁₁ mode achieves high Raman gain (11.62 m−1·W−1) in a compact 10 cm ONF

Carbon dots‐supported single‐atom catalysts provide a model platform for uncovering how coordination interactions regulate catalytic reactivity. Thiol binding at Ru‒N4 centers reshapes the reaction energy landscape of H2O2 activation, dynamically modulating ROS‐generation pathways through electronic‐structure perturbation.

Under NIR irradiation, PTCPP generates ROS to eliminate MRSA biofilms and promote M1 macrophage polarization for phagocytosis. After bacterial clearance, the material is phagocytosed by macrophages, shifting their polarization to M2 phenotype via metabolic reprogramming, which synergistically enhances anti‐infection therapy and wound healing.

Transient stimulated Raman scattering spectroscopy and imaging
Stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) has been developed as an essential quantitative contrast for chemical imaging in recent years. However, while spectral lines near the natural linewidth limit can be routinely achieved by state-of-the-art spontaneous ...

Ultrafast-Laser-Induced Backward Stimulated Raman Scattering for Tracing Atmospheric Gases
By combining tunable broadband pulse generation with nonlinear spectral compression, we demonstrate a prototype scheme for highly selective coherent standoff sensing of air molecules and discuss its coupling to the recently demonstrated backward ...

Silicone breast implants are presented as a model system for understanding polymer permeation in vivo. Rather than representing material failure, “gel bleed” emerges from solution–diffusion transport‐mediated. By integrating polymer architecture, physicochemical transport, and biointerfacial processes, this review provides a unified framework that ...
