Parameter effect analysis for a Stirling cryocooler

International Journal of Refrigeration, 2017
Abstract In this paper, an isothermal model is used for modeling the Stirling cryocooler. Various losses including regenerator imperfection thermal loss, piston finite speed loss, gas spring hysteresis loss, displacer shuttle heat loss, clearance heat pump loss, heat conduction loss, and flow viscosity loss are taken into consideration at the same ...

Microcomputer simulation of Stirling cryocoolers

Proceedings of the 24th Intersociety Energy Conversion Engineering Conference, 2003
A design aid for Stirling cryocoolers is described. It consists of a digital simulation program for use on microcomputers, written in Fortran 77 and designed to be easy to use with no special expertise and minimal training. The program is versatile in that it can be used for all known types and variations of Stirling cryocoolers.

Cyclic simulation of Stirling cryocoolers

Cryogenics, 1990
Abstract Analysis of Stirling cryocoolers has been an important research topic over the last 30 years. The actual and the ideal Stirling cycles are distinctly different and performance prediction of the actual cycle has been a subject of interest to scientists. In this paper cyclic simulation of the actual Stirling cycle cryocooler has been performed

Optimization of regenerator of a stirling cryocooler

Indian Journal of Cryogenics, 2014
The applications like IR detector cooling in satellites, imaging cameras in battle tanks and HTS devices require cryogenic cooling in the range of 60–80 K with cooling power varying from mWto a few Watts. A miniature Stirling Cryocooler can be used for these applications.

Microcomputer simulation of Stirling cryocoolers

Cryogenics, 1989
Abstract A design aid for Stirling cryocoolers is described. The design aid is a digital simulation program for use on microcomputers. It is written in the FORTRAN 77 language and is especially designed to be easy to use with no specialist expertise required and minimal training. The program is versatile in that it can be used for all known types and

Precision temperature control of Stirling-cycle cryocoolers

SPIE Proceedings, 1994
Linear-drive Stirling-cycle cryocoolers designed with non contacting parts are ideal for long-life cryogenic cooling applications. These cryocoolers are light weight, have an almost unbounded operational life, and require no expensive ground handling equipment or procedures. One of the challenges in applying these refrigerators to sensitive instruments

Advanced control electronics for Stirling cryocoolers

SPIE Proceedings, 2003
Advanced Split Linear and Integral Stirling cryocoolers for IR applications are controlled by external or integrated control electronics to provide a stable preset temperature at the focal plane. AIM produces a family of Split Linear Stirling coolers with integrated control electronics inside the compressor housing.

Computer Analysis of Stirling Cycle Cryocooler

SAE Technical Paper Series, 1995
<div class="htmlview paragraph">This paper discusses about the software ‘ISCP’ developed for thermodynamic design and analysis of Stirling cycle cryocooler. The model is based on second order analysis method which assumes the various parasitic losses as independent of each other.

Thermodynamic Modelling of Superfluid Stirling Cryocoolers

Volume 6: Energy, 2019
Abstract The aim of this paper is to describe and thermodynamically model cryogenic Stirling refrigerators, using Helium in its different forms as the working medium. Helium has unique properties at cryogenic temperatures forming a superfluid.
