Dissipativity and Stability for Stochastic Non-Integer-Order Memristive BAM System with Leakage Terms and Mixed Delays

open access: yesFractal and Fractional
This paper is concerned with the problems of mean-square global dissipativity and global asymptotic stability for a class of stochastic fractional-order memristive BAM neural networks with leakage terms and mixed time-varying delays, including discrete ...

Simulating infrastructure networks in the Yangtze River Delta (China) using generative urban network models

open access: yesBelgeo, 2016
This paper explores the urban-geographical potential of simulation approaches combining spatial and topological processes. Drawing on Vértes et al.'s (2012) economical clustering model, we propose a generative network model integrating factors captured ...

Controllability of Nonlinear Neutral Stochastic Differential Inclusions with Infinite Delay [PDF]

open access: yesMathematical Problems in Engineering, 2013
The paper is concerned with the controllability of nonlinear neutral stochastic differential inclusions with infinite delay in a Hilbert space. Sufficient conditions for the controllability are obtained by using a fixed-point theorem for condensing maps due to O'Regan.

On a Set-Valued Young Integral with Applications to Differential Inclusions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2022
We present a new Aumann-like integral for a H\"older multifunction with respect to a H\"older signal, based on the Young integral of a particular set of H\"older selections.

Design and analysis strategies for robust microbiome ageing research

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The gut microbiome changes with age and associates with age‐related morbidity and mortality, establishing it as a potential biomarker and intervention target for ageing. Realising this potential requires methodological rigour, yet distinguishing biological signals from methodological artefacts remains challenging across cohorts. This review provides an

Stochastic models and simulation of ion channel dynamics [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
The behaviour of ion channels within cardiac and neuronal cells is intrinsically stochastic in nature. When the number of channels is small this stochastic noise is large and can have an impact on the dynamics of the system which is potentially an issue ...

Flow Enabled Target Capture Halbach‐based magnetic enrichment increases circulating tumor cell capture from blood in metastatic cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pair‐wise comparison of the CellSearch and FETCH enrichment technologies for circulating tumor cells (CTCs) from metastatic breast, prostate, and small cell lung cancer patients shows an increased capture of CTCs using FETCH enrichment. The clinical implementation of circulating tumor cells (CTCs) as a predictive tool for therapy efficacy in the ...

Stochastic representation of partial differential inclusions

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications, 2009
Partial differential inclusions of the form \(u_t^\prime \in \mathbb L _{FG}u+cu\) and \(\psi \in \mathbb L_{FG}u+cu\), where \(\mathbb L_{FG}\) is a uniformly parabolic second order set-valued operator, are considered. In particular, based on diffusions properties of weak solutions to stochastic differential inclusions, some existence and ...

PAK1 activation drives divergent resistance mechanisms to aromatase inhibition and tamoxifen in a luminal: A breast cancer model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Breast cancer remains a major cause of cancer death in women, frequently developing endocrine therapy resistance. This study demonstrates that upregulated p21‐activated kinase 1 (PAK1) activity drives resistance to tamoxifen and long‐term estrogen deprivation in ER+ breast cancer models.
