Color Center Formation in Silicon‐On‐Insulator for On‐Chip Photonic Integration

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Color centers in silicon have great potential as single photon sources for quantum technologies. Some of them – like the T center – also possess optically‐active spins that enable spin‐photon interfaces for generating entangled photons and multi‐spin registers. This paper explores the generation of several types of color centers in silicon for

Dynamic Optimization Design of Stochastic Finite Element

open access: yes, 2011
A general model of the optimum design of structural vibration with the random parameters is introduced. Dynamic optimization design of stochastic finite element using the Preconditioned Conjugate Gradient method (PCG) is presented. The vibration equation

Spectral Stochastic Finite Element Method for Electromagnetic Problems with Random Geometry

open access: yesElectrical, Control and Communication Engineering, 2014
In electromagnetic problems, the problem geometry may not always be exactly known. One example of such a case is a rotating machine with random-wound windings.

Mono‐ and Bilayer MoS2 Photodetectors: High‐Performance Broadband AC Readout With Color‐Selective Noise Suppression

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
Mono‐ and bilayer MoS2 photodetectors enable wavelength‐selective AC photoresponse and optically driven capacitance modulation under visible illumination. Green excitation produces the strongest cumulative capacitive response, consistent with trap‐mediated charge accumulation at mono/bilayer and metal–MoS2 interfaces.

Quantitative analysis of construction risks in shallowly buried biased tunnel portal section

open access: yesScientific Reports
To address the prominent problem of collapse instability in shallow buried soft ground tunnels, a non-invasive stochastic finite element method was introduced. Taking Fujian Puyan Wenbishan tunnel as the background project, ABAQUS finite element software

Information Transmission Strategies for Self‐Organized Robotic Aggregation

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
In this review, we discuss how information transmission influences the neighbor‐based self‐organized aggregation of swarm robots. We focus specifically on local interactions regarding information transfer and categorize previous studies based on the functions of the information exchanged.

Stochastic higher order finite element elasto-plastic analysis of the necking phenomenon

open access: yesITM Web of Conferences, 2017
The principal goal of this work is to investigate an application of the stochastic perturbation technique of the 10th order in coupled thermo-elasto-plastic analysis of tension of the steel elastic bar exposed to fire with thermally dependent material ...
