Inference in the nonparametric stochastic frontier model

This article is the first in the literature to discuss in detail how to conduct various types of inference in the stochastic frontier model when it is estimated using nonparametric methods. We discuss a general and versatile inferential technique that allows for a range of practical hypotheses of interest to be tested.

This study explores the use of N, S co‐doped carbon quantum dots (NS‐CQDs) as carriers for riboflavin, creating NS‐CQDs‐RF composite photosensitizers. These composites improve riboflavin absorption, enhance ROS generation efficiency, and preserve corneal epithelium integrity.

We use the concept of coarsened posteriors to provide robust Bayesian inference via coarsening in order to robustify posteriors arising from stochastic frontier models. These posteriors arise from tempered versions of the likelihood when at most a pre-specified amount of data is used, and are robust to changes in the model.
