Rotational Representations of Stochastic Matrices
Let u denote Lebesgue measure on the interval \(X=[0,1)\). A stochastic matrix \(P=(p_{ij})\) is said to have a rotational representation if there exists a nonnegative number t and a partition \(S=\{S_ i\}^ n_{i=1}\) of X into nonempty sets \(S_ i\), which are each finite unions of intervals, such that \(p_{ij}=u(S_ i\cap f^{-1}(S_ j))/u(S_ i),\) 1 ...

Path‐decoupled III–V van der Waals memtransistors spatially separate ionic and electronic transport to overcome the conventional trade‐off between accuracy and energy in neuromorphic hardware. Mobile K+ ions in the vdW gaps set a wide conductance window, Gmax/Gmin, while gate‐tunable hole conduction lowers programming energy, enabling reliable ...

Stochastic modeling of plasmonic field evolution propagating in non-uniform metallic strip arrays
The amplitude field distribution of surface plasmons propagating in an array of non-uniform metallic strips is analyzed. The study models the evolution of the amplitude function as a Markov chain, which is associated with a stochastic matrix.

Resolving Heterogeneity of Targeted Lipid Nanoparticles Through Solution‐Based Biophysical Analyses
AF4‐UV‐DLS‐MALS‐SAXS resolves previously inaccessible targeted lipid nanoparticle (tLNP) subpopulations that differ in size, shape, and composition. Correlation of subpopulation‐resolved biophysical properties with in vivo RNA delivery reveals that targeted placental transfection is associated with distinct tLNP subpopulations rather than ensemble ...

Coherence and extensions of stochastic matrices
In this paper a review of some general results on coherence of conditional probability assessments is given. Then, a necessary and sufficient condition on coherence of two finite families of discrete conditianal probability distributions, represented by ...
