Engineering of Glioblastoma‐Derived Biomimetic Vesicles and Their Structural and Molecular Features

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Biomimetic nanosystems and vesicles have arisen as a novel approach to design vesicular transport systems with diverse therapeutic potential. The ‘biomimetic’ strategy involves the integration of cell membrane components into lipid bilayers, conferring them with biological properties originating from the cell of origin. Until now, most studies

Measuring Turbulent Flows: Analyzing a Stochastic Process with Stochastic Tools

open access: yesFluids
Assessing drag force and Reynolds stresses in turbulent flows is crucial for evaluating the stability and longevity of hydraulic structures. Yet, this task is challenging due to the complex nature of turbulent flows.

Stochastic Resonance Elucidates the Emergence and Periodicity Transition of Glacial Cycles

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters
Glacial cycles emerged with a 41‐kyr period after the Pliocene and later intensified with a 100‐kyr period in the mid‐Pleistocene, which were attributed to Earth's orbital variations.

Acquired knowledge as a stochastic process [PDF]

open access: yesSurveys in Mathematics and its Applications, 2017
The paper argues that stochastic and deterministic knowledge complement and improve upon each other. We introduce a stochastic model for acquired knowledge and prove that the numerical data provided fits quite well the estimated outcomes of the model.

Model‐Driven Optimization of Subcutaneous Polymer Prodrugs Achieves Cancer Remission in Mice

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics (PK/PD) model was developed to evaluate multiple dosing regimens for subcutaneously administered water‐soluble polymer prodrug for cancer therapy. The model enabled prediction of in vivo performance and contributed to the optimization of anticancer efficacy.
