An optimal capacity allocation method for integrated energy systems considering uncertainty

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2023
The randomness and fluctuation of wind power output will cause certain waste in capacity allocation of integrated energy system. Therefore, a robust chance constrained optimization model is proposed to solve the shortcomings of the traditional model in ...

Transparent and Robust LiCl–Organohydrogel Triboelectric Nanogenerator With Deep Learning Assisted Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Develop a LiCl–PEI–PAM hydrogel with 3000% stretchability and excellent optical transparency. Through comparative studies of various salts, confirm that LiCl is the most suitable salt for high TENG output. Achieve excellent freeze‐resistant, dry‐resistant, and rapid self‐healing (10 s) properties even in extreme environments. Balance ionic conductivity,

Probability approximation schemes for stochastic programs with distributionally robust second-order dominance constraints [PDF]

open access: yesOptimization Methods and Software, 2016
Since the pioneering work by Dentcheva and Ruszczynski [Optimization with stochastic dominance constraints, SIAM J. Optim. 14 2003, pp. 548–566], stochastic programs with second-order dominance constraints SPSODC have received extensive discussions over the past decade from theory of optimality to numerical schemes and practical applications.

Thermally Pre‐Formed Reconfigurable Resistive Random‐Access Memory Crossbar Arrays: A Dual‐Mode Platform for Robust Physically Unclonable Functions and In‐Memory Computing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A reconfigurable RRAM platform utilizing thermally pre‐formed filaments (TPFs) is developed to realize robust hardware security. By exploiting the thermodynamic stochasticity of TPFs, exceptionally reliable physically unclonable functions (PUFs) are achieved.

3D Anodic Alumina Nanoarchitectures: A Decade of Progress from Foundational Science to Functional Metamaterials

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Ordered three‐dimensional anodic aluminum oxide (3D‐AAO) nanoarchitectures with longitudinal and transverse pores enable architecture‐driven metamaterials. The review maps fabrication advances, including hybrid pulse anodization, and shows how 3D‐AAO templates tailor properties across magnetism, energy, catalysis, and sensing.

Room‐Temperature Skyrmionic Synapse in 2D Ferromagnet Fe3GaTe2 Operating via Collective Spin Texture Transformation

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
We demonstrate a neuromorphic synapse in 2D Fe3GaTe2 flakes. The device operates via a current‐driven transformation from a skyrmion‐lattice to a stripe‐domain state, yielding a linear anomalous Hall resistance response with a tunable slope to enable multiply‐accumulate operations. Simulations confirm its viability in artificial neural networks.

Implementing and Comparing Stochastic and Robust Programming

open access: yes, 2015
Traditional optimisation tools focus on deterministic problems: scheduling airline flight crews (with as few employees as possible while still meeting legal constraints, such as maximum working time), finding the shortest path in a graph (used by navigation systems to give directions, usually based on GPS signals), etc.
