Ultimate boundedness and robust stabilization of bilinear discrete-time systems

open access: yes, 2011
In this paper nonlinear time-varying and bilinear discrete-time systems with additive bounded disturbances are considered. First, conditions guaranteeing uniform ultimate boundedness for time-varying nonlinear systems are established.

State dependent NGMV control of delayed piecewise affine systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
A Nonlinear Generalized Minimum Variance (NGMV) control algorithm is introduced for the control of delayed piecewise affine (PWA) systems which are an important subclass of hybrid systems.

Polarization Dynamics in Ferroelectrics: Insights Enabled by Machine Learning Molecular Dynamics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Machine learning molecular dynamics is presented as a route to capture polarization switching, domain wall kinetics, topological polar textures, and polar mechanical coupling beyond the limits of conventional atomistic methods. This Perspective surveys recent progress and identifies key methodological directions, including long‐range electrostatics ...

Terahertz‐Nanoscale Visualization of the Microscopic Spin‐Charge Architecture of Colossal Magnetoresistive Switching

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study employs cryogenic magneto‐terahertz nanoscopy to reveal the real‐space electrodynamics of the colossal magnetoresistance transition. By capturing the terahertz electrodynamic evolution of field‐driven spin switching, the work unveils the dissipative dynamics of emergent metallic states, providing a high‐frequency view of coupled spin‐charge ...

Inverse Design of Pre‐Strain via a Predictive Electromechanical Model for Enhanced Strain Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An analytical electromechanical model rooted in microcrack evolution mechanics is globally calibrated from only eight pre‐strain datasets, enabling prediction of the complete sensing response at untested pre‐strain values within the calibrated design space (R2 > 0.99).

Stability and ultimate boundedness of solutions to Certain third-order differential equations

open access: yes, 2010
We employ Lyapunov’s second method to investigate uniform asymptotic stability, ultimate boundedness and uniform ultimate boundedness of solutions to certain third-order non-linear differential equations.

Investigation of ultimate boundedness conditions of mechanical systems via decomposition

open access: yes, 2019
A mechanical system with linear velocity forces and nonlinear homogeneous positional ones is studied. It is required to obtain conditions for the ultimate boundedness of motions of this system.

Multiphoton Quantum Reservoirs For Robust Multidimensional Computing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Projective measurements reveal hidden multidimensional quantum networks within classical multiphoton fields, enabling robust quantum reservoirs for room‐temperature quantum simulation, prediction, and information processing. These networks transform noisy classical photonic platforms into scalable quantum computational architectures.

Stochastically Stable Equilibria in Coordination Games with Multiple Populations [PDF]

open access: yes
We investigate the equilibrium selection problem in n-person binary coordination games by means of adaptive play with mistakes (Young 1993). The size and the depth of a particular type of basins of attraction are found to be the main factors in ...

Deep‐Learning‐Based Denoising for Improved Phase Precision in Electron Holography of Electromagnetic Fields in Nanoscale Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Low‐dose electron holography is limited by shot noise, which buries weak phase signals. HoloDenoiser, a physics‐informed network that works simultaneously in the spatial and frequency domains, locates and protects the holographic sideband while suppressing noise in the hologram.
