Relationships between stocking rate, livestock production systems and Alpine grasslands management

open access: yesItalian Journal of Animal Science, 2010
This study was conducted in order to identify the relationships between stocking rate, management system, topographic conditions and weed encroachment of summer pastures in “Lessinia”, a pre-Alpine area in the Veneto region (North-Eastern ...

Environmental and energy requirements for different production biomass of Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) in recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS) in Kenya

open access: yesAquaculture and Fisheries, 2021
Recirculating Aquaculture Systems (RAS) offers a better option to increase aquaculture production with limited land and water resources while minimizing water pollution. The biggest challenges in RAS is to maintain favorable water quality for the fish to

Peroxidasin enables melanoma immune escape by inhibiting natural killer cell cytotoxicity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Peroxidasin (PXDN) is secreted by melanoma cells and binds the NK cell receptor NKG2D, thereby suppressing NK cell activation and cytotoxicity. PXDN depletion restores NKG2D signaling and enables effective NK cell–mediated melanoma killing. These findings identify PXDN as a previously unrecognized immune evasion factor and a potential target to improve

THE IMPACT OF DIFFERENT STOCKING DENESITIES AND DIETARY PROTEIN LEVELS ON THE PERFORMANCE OF AFRICAN CATFISH (Clarias gariepinus) FINGERLINGS

open access: yesSlovenian Veterinary Research, 2019
The current experiment was randomly  designed  as  a 3×2 factorial design to investigate the effects of two fixed factor (stocking density & dietary protein level) on growth performance, feed utilization, survival rate and physiological response of ...

Research on Stock Return Rate

open access: yesFrontiers in Business, Economics and Management, 2021
There is a certain relationship among stock return rate, market return rate and risk-free interest rate, which is worth discussing, and it is helpful for us to analyze stocks and evaluate their prices. I have found that the market return rate and risk-free rate have correlation through multiple regression, and other stock's return rate can affect the ...

Phenotypic and genotypic characterization of single circulating tumor cells in the follow‐up of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Single circulating tumor cells (sCTCs) from high‐grade serous ovarian cancer patients were enriched, imaged, and genomically profiled using WGA and NGS at different time points during treatment. sCTCs revealed enrichment of alterations in Chromosomes 2, 7, and 12 as well as persistent or emerging oncogenic CNAs, supporting sCTC identity.

Cattle production supplemented on signal grass pastures during the rainy season

open access: yesActa Scientiarum: Animal Sciences, 2016
The effects of four supplement doses (0, 1, 2 and 3 kg animal-1 day-1) on pasture characteristics and on cattle production on Brachiaria decumbens cv. Basilisk pastures in continuous stocking with variable stocking rate were assessed. Experimental design

Dammarenediol II enhances etoposide‐induced apoptosis by targeting O‐GlcNAc transferase and Akt/GSK3β/mTOR signaling in liver cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Etoposide induces DNA damage, activating p53‐dependent apoptosis via caspase‐3/7, which cleaves PARP1. Dammarenediol II enhances this apoptotic pathway by suppressing O‐GlcNAc transferase activity, further decreasing O‐GlcNAcylation. The reduction in O‐GlcNAc levels boosts p53‐driven apoptosis and influences the Akt/GSK3β/mTOR signaling pathway ...
