Electrolyte‐Dependent Sodium Plating for Anode‐Free Na‐Ion Batteries Studied by Operando Optical Microscopy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Anode‐free sodium‐ion batteries are examined using carbonate‐, glyme‐, and localized high‐concentration electrolytes. Distinct sodium plating morphologies are identified by operando optical microscopy, revealing uniform crystalline deposition for glyme‐based systems.

Numerical solution of the Navier-Stokes equations for arbitrary two-dimensional multi-element airfoils [PDF]

open access: yes
s are presented on a method of numerical solution of the Navier-Stokes equation for the flow about arbitrary airfoils, using a numerically generated curvilinear coordinate system having a coordinate line coincident with the body contour.

Penyusunan Model Elemen Hingga Interaksi Persamaan Aliran dengan Persamaan Sebaran Udara

open access: yesSemesta Teknika, 2015
Aeration process is one of water treatment processes. The process consists of two physical phenomena, flow, and spreading of air bubble. This research has developed a finite element model for three-dimensional flow and spreading of air bubble.

On Limiting Behavior of Contaminant Transport Models in Coupled Surface and Groundwater Flows

open access: yesAxioms, 2015
There has been a surge of work on models for coupling surface-water with groundwater flows which is at its core the Stokes-Darcy problem. The resulting (Stokes-Darcy) fluid velocity is important because the flow transports contaminants.

Topology Optimization for Internal Cooling of Gas Turbine Guide Vanes—A Conjugate Heat Transfer Study

open access: yesInternational Journal of Turbomachinery, Propulsion and Power
This study explores the feasibility and validity of using topology optimization (TO) to design the internal cooling of an airfoil-like geometry approximating a turbine guide vane.

Coupling Two-Phase Fluid Flow with Two-Phase Darcy Flow in Anisotropic Porous Media

open access: yesAdvances in Mechanical Engineering, 2014
This paper reports a numerical study of coupling two-phase fluid flow in a free fluid region with two-phase Darcy flow in a homogeneous and anisotropic porous medium region.

Basic Concepts of Stokes Flows [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Various properties essential to the understanding of Stokes flow are discussed, including reversibility, negligibility of inertial forces and minimum energy dissipation theorem. Illustrative examples related to these properties are provided: inertial terms for the fluid flow generated by a rotating cylinder, force on a rotating cylinder close to a ...

Anomalous anti-Stokes Raman scattering during epoxy-amine polymerization

open access: yesPolymer Testing
In thermal equilibrium the Stokes Raman scatter should always be greater than the anti-Stokes; however, in some rare cases anomalous anti-Stokes Raman scattering (AASR) has been observed.
