Hydrogel‐Based Airway‐on‐Tube With Perfusable Endothelial Lumen and Outward Epithelialization
A hydrogel‐based airway‐on‐tube platform featuring a perfusable endothelial lumen and outward epithelialization is presented. The system supports primary human bronchial epithelial and lung microvascular endothelial coculture under air‐liquid interface conditions.

Direct measurement of Stokes orbital parameters
The method of direct measurement of the Stokes orbital parameters is based on the analogy with the standard approach to measuring the Stokes polarization parameters of structured beams. A cylindrical lens serves as a quarter-wave plate, and the action of

ABSTRACT Accurately knowing the frontier orbital energies of the structurally disordered small‐molecule organic semiconductors that are used in optoelectronic devices such as organic light‐emitting diodes is required to rationally improve their performance. Here, we show that these energies can be deduced with a large accuracy from the peak energies of

Coupled dynamics of magnetic spin and the Stokes parameters [PDF]
A simple theoretical model is presented for the motion of a magnetic spin induced by polarized light. The model is analyzed by considering a coupled equation for two kinds of spin; the magnetic spin and optical spin (the Stokes ...

Electromagnetic waves and Stokes parameters in the wake of a gravitational wave [PDF]
A theoretical description of electromagnetic waves in the background of a (weak) gravitational wave is presented. Explicit expressions are obtained for the Stokes parameters during the passage of a plane-fronted gravitational wave described by the Ehlers–

A photoactive tweezers system based on photoactive colloids is developed and systematically investigated in this study. Through experimental and theoretical methods, we demonstrate that the photoredox reaction catalyzed by a dye‐sensitized TiO2 particle generates a strong positive phototaxis, enabling self‐entrapment in the beam center.

Radiation phase and Stokes parameters [PDF]
Abstract The approach which has been proposed by one of us [Optics Comm. 136 (1997) 219] is developed. The quantum phase properties of radiation are determined via the conservation of the angular momentum in the interaction with a source. It is shown that the use of two dual representations of the angular momentum of the dipole transition leads to ...

Advances in Halide Perovskites for Photon Radiation Detectors
This work highlights recent progress in perovskite‐based photon radiation detectors, covering organic–inorganic hybrid, inorganic, lead‐free double, and vacancy‐ordered halide perovskites. Their detection performance is compared, material‐specific advantages and challenges are examined, and provides insight into current limitations and future ...

Determination of generalized Stokes parameters for unpolarized, polarized and partially polarized light beams [PDF]
An experimental method for determining the generalized Stokes parameters in analogy with its counterpart experimental scheme of determining the usual Stokes parameters is presented.
