In this paper I want to talk about the use of narrative to explore health issues in prisons. I begin with a discussion of story, the part it plays in our lives and its use in research.

ABSTRACT Percutaneous transesophageal gastro‐tubing provides enteral access when endoscopic gastrostomy is not feasible, but delayed vascular injury is seldom reported. We describe a 73‐year‐old woman with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and prior gastrectomy who became ventilator‐dependent and underwent percutaneous transesophageal gastro‐tubing.

Abstract Chronic intestinal pseudo‐obstruction (CIPO) is a rare, heterogeneous, and debilitating disorder characterized by profound intestinal dysmotility and severe nutrition challenges. Its presentation resembles that of mechanical bowel obstruction, but CIPO occurs in the absence of luminal obstruction.

Isoetes ×atruensis hyb. nov. is shown to be a triploid (2n = 3× = 33 + 1) sterile interspecific hybrid between diploid (2n = 2× = 22 + 1) I. coromandelina and tetraploid (2n = 4× = 44 + 1) I. rajasthanensis. It has been found in two locations in Rajasthan, India.
