Stomatal factor in the water use and dry matter production by sorghum
Direct measurement of stomatal resistance using a porometer in a sorghum crop over a range of time scales is described, and its response to changes in solar radiation, S, and soil water potential, ΨS, is analysed.

Evolutionary association of stomatal traits with leaf vein density in Paphiopedilum, Orchidaceae. [PDF]
Both leaf attributes and stomatal traits are linked to water economy in land plants. However, it is unclear whether these two components are associated evolutionarily. In characterizing the possible effect of phylogeny on leaf attributes and stomatal ...

This study constructed the first spatiotemporal multi‐omics map of peach fruit and discovered a key candidate gene that synergistically regulates trichome development and drought tolerance through the jasmonic acid signaling pathway, providing insights into the coupling mechanism between development and stress resistance.

Monitoring environmental features using leaf stomatal characteristics [PDF]
It is recognised that atmospheric CO(_2) concentrations are increasing, with concerns raised as to the global impact continued rises may have. Plant stomatal parameters have been suggested as a means of monitoring changing CO(_2) levels.

Evolutionary correlation of water-related traits between different structures of Dendrobium plants
Background Leaf water conservation and pseudobulb water storage are two of the strategies commonly employed by epiphytic plants to adapt to dry environments.

Foliar spraying of CS‐CDs can form a film on the leaves of Brassica rapa, effectively reducing the enrichment and absorption of PS in the leaves, while increasing the biomass and nutrient content of the plants. In addition, CS‐CDs can also enrich the interfoliar microbial community and activate the plant's own defense metabolic pathways.

The influence of altered water availability on stomatal patterns of leaves. [PDF]
The aim of this research was to study the influence of altered water availability on stomatal patterns of leaves. A baseline study of leaves stomatal indices, (stomatal as a proportional of all epidermal cells) stomatal density, (number of stomatal per ...

The Role of Proteases in Determining Stomatal Development and Tuning Pore Aperture: A Review
Plant proteases, the proteolytic enzymes that catalyze protein breakdown and recycling, play an essential role in a variety of biological processes including stomatal development and distribution, as well as, systemic stress responses. In this review, we
