Improvement of the mathematical model of the diagram of deformation of the compressed composite steel and concrete structures

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2017
The mathematical model of the stress-strain ratio of compressed concrete at elevated temperatures for composite structures described in Eurocode EN 1994-1-2:2005 Eurocode 4 divided in two stages: Stage 1 - represents the ascending branch and is defined ...

Shock-wave therapy of gastric outlet syndrome caused by a gallstone [PDF]

open access: yes, 1989
A patient with gastric outlet syndrome (Bouveret's syndrome) caused by a large gallstone impacted in the duodenal bulb was successfully treated by extracorporeal shock-wave lithotripsy. Thus, open abdominal surgery could be avoided. For disintegration of

Mass balance, metabolic disposition, and pharmacokinetics of a single IV dose of [14C]CA102N in HT-29 xenograft athymic nude mice

open access: yesFrontiers in Pharmacology
IntroductionCA102N is a novel anticancer drug developed by covalently linking H-Nim (N-(4-Amino-2-phenoxyphenyl methanesulfonamide) to Hyaluronic Acid to target CD44 receptor-rich tumors.

The Soft Side of Stone: Notes for a Phenomenology of Stone [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
Stone represents the firmness and intransigence of the world within which we live and act. But beyond the perception and appropriations of stone, diverse meanings lie hidden between the hardness of stone and its uses.

LDAcoop: Integrating non‐linear population dynamics into the analysis of clonogenic growth in vitro

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Limiting dilution assays (LDAs) quantify clonogenic growth by seeding serial dilutions of cells and scoring wells for colony formation. The fraction of negative wells is plotted against cells seeded and analyzed using the non‐linear modeling of LDAcoop.

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.
