Connecting generalized Priestley duality to Hofmann-Mislove-Stralka duality [PDF]

open access: yes
We connect Priestley duality for distributive lattices and its generalization to distributive meet-semilattices to Hofmann-Mislove-Stralka duality for semilattices.

SIRT6‐Mediated Deacetylation of ATF3 Promotes Silica‐Induced Lung Fibrosis by Enhancing its Nuclear Import via Binding to Importin α

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
SIRT6‐mediated ATF3 acetylation drives MGARP transcription and mitochondrial dysfunction in macrophages, promoting macrophage senescence and pulmonary fibrosis. Mechanistically, HSP70/Importin α competitively binds to ATF3, modulating its nuclear translocation.

An effective version of the Stone duality

open access: yes
The paper studies computability-theoretic aspects of topological $T_0$-spaces. We introduce effective versions of the notions of a countable $c$-poset and a (second-countable) topological space with base. Based on this, we prove an effective version of the known Stone-type duality between the category $\mathbf{AS}$ (whose objects are almost ...

Extended Stone Duality via Monoidal Adjunctions

open access: yesLogical Methods in Computer Science
Extensions of Stone-type dualities have a long history in algebraic logic and have also been instrumental in proving results in algebraic language theory. We show how to extend abstract categorical dualities via monoidal adjunctions, subsuming various incarnations of classical extended Stone and Priestley duality as special cases, and providing the ...

Mitochondrial Carrier SLC25A13 Drives Ferroptosis Resistance and Immune Evasion via a STAT3–IFI6 Circuit in Breast Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
SLC25A13 is identified as an immunometabolic driver of triple‐negative breast cancer that sustains ferroptosis resistance and immune evasion through a STAT3–IFI6 circuit. Pharmacologic degradation of SLC25A13 restores ferroptosis sensitivity and enhances anti‐PD‐1 efficacy, highlighting a strategy to convert immune‐cold tumors into immunotherapy ...

Graded Lawson-Stone Duality

open access: yes
The classical Stone duality associates to each Boolean algebra a topological space consisting of ultrafilters. Lawson's generalisation constructs a dual equivalence of categories of Boolean inverse $\land$-semigroups and Hausdorff ample topological groupoids.

Deep Eutectic Polymer Electrolyte with Competitive Hydrogen‐Bonding Coordination for High‐Voltage Nickel‐rich Lithium Metal Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
To stabilize high‐voltage Li||NCM811 batteries, we develop an in situ polymerized deep‐eutectic electrolyte (p‐DEPE) featuring competitive hydrogen‐bonding coordination. This design weakens Ni4+ adsorption, suppresses oxygen release, and enhances interfacial stability.

The modal logic of Stone spaces: diamond as derivative [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
. We show that if we interpret modal diamond as the derived set operator of a topological space, then the modal logic of Stone spaces is K4 and the modal logic of weakly scattered Stone spaces is K4G.

Adsorption of Forever Chemical Pollutants: The Physical Chemistry of PFAS Near Surfaces

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Current adsorption‐based remediation techniques for removing per‐ and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) from water are limited by knowledge gaps on PFAS behavior near solid surfaces. This review provides a state of the art on theoretical and experimental aspects of PFAS adsorption.

Stone paradistributive latticoids

open access: yes
We introduce the concept of Stone paradistributive latticoids (Stone PDLs) as a natural generalization of Stone lattices to the broader setting of paradistributive latticoids endowed with parapseudo-complementation.
