Light Space The Stone

SIGGRAPH Asia 2011 Art Gallery, 2011
Light Space The Stone proposes a new form of Digital Media Installation Work which has a strong basis in modern Digital Technology, but is inspired by Korean traditional views of nature. It considers nature not merely by its environmental importance but also questions how to create a harmony between human-made Digital Media and ecological needs.

Čech‐Stone Compactifications of Pseudotopological Spaces

Mathematische Nachrichten, 1986
A negative answer is provided for the question: Is the category of all compact Hausdorff pseudotopological spaces reflective in the category of all Hausdorff pseudotopological spaces? The pseudotopology on the extension space used for the proof is similar to the convergence structure on the Richardson compactification of a convergence space.

STONE SPACE OF CYLINDRIC ALGEBRAS AND TOPOLOGICAL MODEL SPACES

The Journal of Symbolic Logic, 2016
AbstractThe Stone representation theorem was a milestone for the understanding of Boolean algebras. From Stone’s theorem, every Boolean algebra is representable as a field of sets with a topological structure. By means of this, the structural elements of any Boolean algebra, as well as the relations between them, are represented geometrically and can ...

Types and Stone spaces

2018
AbstractTypes are one of the cornerstones of contemporary model theory. Simply put, a type is the collection of formulas satisfied by an element of some elementary extension. The types can be organised in an algebraic structure known as a Lindenbaum algebra.

THE MODAL LOGIC OF STONE SPACES: DIAMOND AS DERIVATIVE

The Review of Symbolic Logic, 2010
We show that if we interpret modal diamond as the derived set operator of a topological space, then the modal logic of Stone spaces isK4and the modal logic of weakly scattered Stone spaces isK4G. As a corollary, we obtain thatK4is also the modal logic of compact Hausdorff spaces andK4Gis the modal logic of weakly scattered compact Hausdorff spaces.

The Stone--Weierstrass Theorem and Spaces of Measures

Mathematical Notes, 2002
The classical Stone-Weierstrass theorem says: if \(X\) is a compact topological space and a subalgebra in the algebra \(C(X)\) of all real-valued continuous functions on \(X\) contains constants and separates points of \(X\), then this subalgebra is dense in \(C(X)\) with respect to the topology of uniform convergence on \(X\).

FAN-GOTTESMAN COMPACTIFICATIONS AND STONE SPACE

2018
A Stone space is a zero dimensional, compact and T-0 - topological space. Also it is called Boolean space. There are a lot of methods for obtainnig compact space. Aleksandrov, Stone-Cech, Wallman and FanGottesman compactification are four of them.
