ENHANCEMENT OF ITERATIVE TURBO DECODING FOR HARQ SYSTEMS [PDF]
This paper presents a new method for stopping the iterative turbo decoding. First, a bit-level convergence test using the cross-entropy analyses is used to select non converged bits and establish a simple and effective stopping rule.

Stopping Criterion for Adaptive Algorithm [PDF]
Adaptive algorithm consists of many different parameters. For example, adaptive index, adaptive criterion and stopping criterion. The adaptivity index drives the adaptive algorithm by selecting some elements for further refinement. Apart from the driving force, another important aspect of an algorithm is its stopping criteria. We present a new stopping

Residual Entropy as a Diagnostic and Stopping Metric for CLEAN
We propose the use of entropy, measured from the spatial and flux distribution of pixels in the residual image, as a potential diagnostic and stopping metric for the CLEAN algorithm.

The smoothed duality gap as a stopping criterion
Abstract We optimize the running time of the primal-dual algorithms by optimizing their stopping criteria for solving convex optimization problems under affine equality constraints, which means terminating the algorithm earlier with fewer iterations.

Stopping Criterion for the Mean Shift Iterative Algorithm [PDF]
Image segmentation is a critical step in computer vision tasks constituting an essential issue for pattern recognition and visual interpretation. In this paper, we propose a new stopping criterion for the mean shift iterative algorithm by using images defined in Zn ring, with the goal of reaching a better segmentation.

Low Complexity Early Stopping Belief Propagation Decoder for Polar Codes
Belief propagation is one of low latency decoding algorithms for polar codes but it requires relatively high decoding complexity due to its inherent iterative decoding nature.

A crucial challenge in Bayesian modeling using Markov chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) estimation is to diagnose the convergence of the chains so that the draws can be expected to closely approximate the posterior distribution on which inference is based.

ABSTRACT Background Young adult childhood cancer survivors (YA‐CCS) have an increased risk of treatment‐related health complications throughout their lives. Lifelong survivorship care is recommended, yet many YA‐CCS experience disruptions in care during pediatric‐to‐adult transitions and do not receive recommended survivorship care.
