The MRP4 transporter exports several drugs and signaling molecules. Here, we identified key promoter elements regulating basal MRP4 expression. Using reporter assays, we defined a conserved region with essential Sp1 and contributory Ets sites, which controlled basal MRP4 expression.

Faced with the access of a large number of devices, and for mobile vehicles with high speeds, some situations may be far from the communication range of the current edge node, resulting in a significant increase in communication latency and energy ...

Evolutionary analysis across 32 placental mammals identified positive selection at residues H148 and W149 in the immune receptor FcγR1. Ancestral reconstruction combined with molecular dynamics simulations reveals how these mutations may influence receptor structure and dynamics, providing insight into the evolution of antibody recognition and immune ...

Local Field Correction Effect on Dicluster Stopping Power in a Strongly Coupled Two-Dimensional Electron Gas System [PDF]
We calculate the stopping power for heavy-ion diclusters moving in a strongly coupled two-dimensional electron gas system by using the local field corrected dielectric function at finite temperature.

Early stopping and non-parametric regression: An optimal data-dependent stopping rule
The strategy of early stopping is a regularization technique based on choosing a stopping time for an iterative algorithm. Focusing on non-parametric regression in a reproducing kernel Hilbert space, we analyze the early stopping strategy for a form of ...

Abruptly changing from aerobic to anaerobic conditions (sudden anaerobization) induced growth inhibition and a significant increase in intracellular labile ferrous iron in the aerotolerant anaerobe Amphibacillus xylanus. We found that free flavins mediate efficient electron transfer from NADH to ferric iron under anaerobic conditions, suggesting that ...

Theoretical Study of Energy Loss of Proton in Human Tissues
In this paper, a theoretical study was carried out to calculate the proton energy loss in human tissues (Adipose tissue, Blood, Bone (Compact), Bone (Cortical), Brain, Eye lens, Lung, Skin, and Testicles) within the energy range of 1 MeV to 1000

The Bayes Lepski's Method and Credible Bands through Volume of Tubular Neighborhoods
For a general class of priors based on random series basis expansion, we develop the Bayes Lepski's method to estimate unknown regression function. In this approach, the series truncation point is determined based on a stopping rule that balances the ...

In normal (nontolerant) cells, CD14 is crucial for both LPS uptake and LPS signaling. In LPS‐tolerant cells, in which LPS‐induced TNF‐α and IFN‐β production is suppressed, there is a dramatic increase in surface CD14 expression. The overexpressed CD14 in LPS‐tolerant cells is responsible for the enhanced LPS uptake without inducing pro‐inflammatory ...
