The Strategic Role of Sustainability Certifications: A Multi‐Theoretical Framework and Comparative Analysis in the Global Wine Industry

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Sustainability certifications are increasingly embedded in the governance and competitiveness of the wine sector, yet their strategic role remains under‐theorised. This study conceptualises certifications as multidimensional strategic mechanisms and conducts a comparative analysis of 50 schemes used in the global wine industry.

Effects of Simultaneous Sitophilus zeamais and Prostephanus truncatus During Storage of Maize in Hermetic and Non‐Hermetic Conditions

open access: yesCereal Chemistry, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Sitophilus zeamais (Mostschulsky), the maize weevil, and Prostephanus truncatus (Horn), the larger grain borer, are two notorious insect pests of farm‐stored products in Sub‐Saharan Africa (SSA). The goal of this study was to determine whether there were interactions between P. truncatus and S. zeamais during storage.

Hermetic Bags Effectively Manage Emerging and Common Pests of Stored Cowpeas in Niger

open access: yesInsects
The cowpea is a vital crop for low-resource farmers in the Sahel, but post-harvest losses due to insect pests remain a major challenge. Callosobruchus maculatus (Fabricius, 1775), is the primary pest responsible for most of the damage to stored cowpeas ...

Moving Beyond 99.9% Coulombic Efficiency for Anode‐Free Sodium Metal Battery

open access: yesCarbon Energy, EarlyView.
Iron‐anchored carbon nanotubes (CNT‐Fe) are developed as a 3D sodiophilic host for anode‐free sodium metal batteries. The Fe nanoparticles significantly enhance sodium adsorption and ensure uniform deposition, enabling an exceptional 99.9% Coulombic efficiency over 1100 cycles and long‐term stability in high‐loading full cells.
