A YOLO-Based Model for Detecting Stored-Grain Insects on Surface of Grain Bulks. [PDF]
Accurate, rapid, and intelligent stored-grain insect detection and counting are important for integrated pest management (IPM). Existing stored-grain insect pest detection models are often not suitable for detecting tiny insects on the surface of grain ...

Efficacy Assessment of Biosynthesized Copper Oxide Nanoparticles (CuO-NPs) on Stored Grain Insects and Their Impacts on Morphological and Physiological Traits of Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) Plant. [PDF]
Simple Summary In the current study, copper oxide nanoparticles (CuO-NPs) were successfully formed through the reduction of CuSO4·5H2O by the activity of Aspergillus niger strain (G3-1) metabolites. The as-formed CuO-NPs were characterized by UV–visible (

Controlling insects in stored grain by disturbing the grain
Insects can cause damage to stored grain, especially on smallholder farms in the tropics. Sitophilus zeamais (maize weevil, MW) and Rhyzopertha dominica (lesser grain borer, LGB) are often involved. Our objective was to determine, by four experiments, if physical disturbance of grain can control these pests.

An Inventory of Stored Grain Insects in Michigan [PDF]
(excerpt) The problems with insects in commercial and farm-stored corn, small grains, dry beans, and soybeans are reduced to a minimum by Michigan\u27s cool climate and usually short period of storage (Ruppel, 1976).
