Prediction of insect mortality in cooled stored grain
Journal of Stored Products Research, 2018Abstract Grain aeration with ambient air is the primary method used in France to prevent and control insect infestations. French grain storage operators consider that complete total mortality of insects can be achieved by maintaining grain temperature at 5 °C for 3 months.

Detection techniques for stored-product insects in grain
Food Control, 2007Abstract Cereal grains are the major source of food for humans and most domesticated animals. In many developing countries, overall post-harvest losses of cereals and legumes of about 10–15% are fairly common. Consumption of cereals and legumes by pests such as insects during storage and microbial spoilage or contamination may make these totally ...

Candidate Protectants for Wheat Against Stored-Grain Insects
1977Candidate insecticidal materials were tested on Hard Winter wheat stored in small, intermediate-type bins. A diatomaceous earth dust impregnated with malathion gave the best protection and imparted repellency to the wheat against rice weevils, but addition of the dust reduced the test weight of the wheat.

Control of stored grain insect pests with spinosad
2010U Hrvatskoj suzbijanje štetnih kukaca uskladištenih zrnatih proizvoda s prirodnim insekticidom spinosadom (derivat bakterije aktinomiceta Saccharopolyspora spinosa) do sad se još ne provodi. Spinosad pod imenima Laser (KS) 24% i Success Bait (KS) 24 g/L + atraktant u nas se koristi za suzbijanje kukaca stetnika voća i povrća tijekom vegetacije.

DETECTION TECHNIQUES IN MONITORING OF STORED GRAIN INSECTS
Stored grain insects (rice weevil, lesser grain borer, khapra beetle, red flour beetle, pulse beetle etc), rodents, and other pests like fungi and birds can infiltrate grain storage facilities, leading to significant losses. Pests feed on stored grains and contaminate them thereby making them unfit for consumption (FAO, 2015).Pyla Jyothi +2 more
