Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Drawing Graphs on Few Circles and Few Spheres

open access: yesJournal of Graph Algorithms and Applications, 2019
Given a drawing of a graph, its visual complexity is defined as the number of geometrical entities in the drawing, for example, the number of segments in a straight-line drawing or the number of arcs in a circular-arc drawing (in 2D).

Peripheral lysosomes recruit PLEKHG3 to focal adhesions and restrain protrusion dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Proximity‐dependent labeling at the LAMTOR complex revealed the Rho GEF PLEKHG3 as a lysosome‐proximal protein directing the study toward the influence of lysosome positioning on actin dynamics and cell motility. We show that PLEKHG3 colocalizes with lysosomes at focal adhesion sites and observe that forced peripheral dispersion of lysosomes hinders ...

Geometric RAC Simultaneous Drawings of Graphs

open access: yesJournal of Graph Algorithms and Applications, 2013
In this paper, we study the geometric RAC simultaneous drawing problem: Given two planar graphs that share a common vertex set, a geometric RAC simultaneous drawing is a straight-line drawing in which each graph is drawn planar, there are no edge ...

Dimethyl fumarate combined with cisplatin at subcytotoxic doses sensitizes cervical cancer toward ferroptosis and apoptosis through GSH restriction and p53 (re)activation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

Straight-line Drawings of Binary Trees with Linear Area and Arbitrary Aspect Ratio

open access: yesJournal of Graph Algorithms and Applications, 2004
Trees are usually drawn planar, i.e. without any edge-crossings. In this paper, we investigate the area requirement of (non-upward) planar straight-line grid drawings of binary trees. Let T be a binary tree with n nodes.

Straight-Line Orthogonal Drawings of Binary and Ternary Trees [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
In this paper we provide upper and lower bounds on the area requirement of straight-line orthogonal drawings of n-node binary and ternary trees. Namely, we show algorithms for constructing orderpreserving straight-line orthogonal drawings of binary trees in O(n1.5) area, straight-line orthogonal drawings of ternary trees in O(n1.631) area, and straight-

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Planar Embeddings of Graphs with Specified Edge Lengths

open access: yesJournal of Graph Algorithms and Applications, 2007
We consider the problem of finding a planar straight-line embedding of a graph with a prescribed Euclidean length on every edge. There has been substantial previous work on the problem without the planarity restrictions, which has close connections to ...

AIRBORNE LINEAR ARRAY IMAGE GEOMETRIC RECTIFICATION METHOD BASED ON UNEQUAL SEGMENTATION [PDF]

open access: yesThe International Archives of the Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and Spatial Information Sciences, 2016
As the linear array sensor such as multispectral and hyperspectral sensor has great potential in disaster monitoring and geological survey, the quality of the image geometric rectification should be guaranteed. Different from the geometric rectification
