Solution Properties of Straight-Chain α-Amino Acids

open access: yesJournal of Japan Oil Chemists' Society, 1988
The viscosity B coefficients, heats of solution and surface activity of straigt chain α-amino acids H (CH2) n-1CH (NH2) COOH (Cn, n=15) in water were measured. The viscosity B coefficient of C1, increased with temperature, while those of C2 and higher homologs decreased with increase in temperature.

Mass Energy and Flow in closed ecosystems [PDF]

open access: yes, 1972
The general equations of biomass and energy transfer for an n-species, closed ecosystem are written. It is demonstrated how in "ecological time" the parameters describing the dynamics of biomass transfer are related to the parameters of energy transfer ...

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

A methionine‐lined active site governs carbocation stabilization and product specificity in a bacterial terpene synthase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals a unique active site enriched in methionine residues and demonstrates that these residues play a critical role by stabilizing carbocation intermediates through novel sulfur–cation interactions. Structure‐guided mutagenesis further revealed variants with significantly altered product profiles, enhancing pseudopterosin formation. These

Restricted Detour Polynomials of Straight Chains of Graphs

open access: yesJournal of Zankoy Sulaimani - Part A, 2015
Recurrence relations for the restricted detour polynomials of straightchains of vertex identified and edge-introducing graphs are obtained. Then, restricted detour polynomials for chains of hexagons and pentagons are alsoobtained with their restricted detour indices.

Cytoplasmic p21 promotes stemness of colon cancer cells via activation of the NFκB pathway

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytoplasmic p21 promotes colorectal cancer stem cell (CSC) features by destabilizing the NFκB–IκB complex, activating NFκB signaling, and upregulating BCL‐xL and COX2. In contrast to nuclear p21, cytoplasmic p21 enhances spheroid formation and stemness transcription factor CD133.

SYNTHESIS AND ANALYSIS OF A MECHANISM GENERATING THE RATIONAL CIRCULAR CUBIC

open access: yesJournal of Industrial Design and Engineering Graphics, 2019
Based on the mathematical curve named rational circular cubic [2] and on its animation, it was conceived an original mechanism generating this curve.

基于Pro/E3.0环境下链传动曲线运动仿真的实现方法

open access: yesJixie chuandong, 2010
The simulation and modeling function of Pro/E is strong,so it was applied widely in modern design. But Pro/E has its own big lack at the chain drive simulation.

Anisotropic Hydrodynamic Mean-Field Theory for Semiflexible Polymers under Tension [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
We introduce an anisotropic mean-field approach for the dynamics of semiflexible polymers under intermediate tension, the force range where a chain is partially extended but not in the asymptotic regime of a nearly straight contour.

Locomotive and reptation motion induced by internal force and friction

open access: yes, 2011
We propose a simple mechanical model of locomotion induced by internal force and friction. We first construct a system of two elements as an analog of the bipedal motion.
