An isoform of 14‐3‐3 protein regulates transbilayer lipid movement at the plasma membrane
Loss of 14‐3‐3ζ in CHO cells confers resistance to exogenous phosphatidylserine (PS) and impairs endocytosis‐independent inward flip‐flop of fluorescent PS at the plasma membrane. RNAi‐mediated knockdown reproduces this defect, while no additive effect is seen in ATP11C‐deficient cells.

Dominating set of rectangles intersecting a straight line
We study the dominating set problem using axis-parallel rectangles and unit squares on the plane. These geometric objects are constrained to be intersected by a straight line which makes an angle with the x-axis.

The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.

The Displacement Synthesis of Four-Bar Straight-Line Mechanisms
This paper presents an analytical method for synthesizing a four-bar linkage from a slider-crank mechanism using the cubic of stationary curvature of the slider crank.

Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.

Straight Line motion with rigid sets
If one is given a rigid triangle in the plane or space, we show that the only motion possible, where each vertex of the triangle moves along a straight line, is given by a hypocycloid line drawer in the plane, and a natural extension in three-space. Each

Two linear calibration methods based on space-line projection properties for a paracatadioptric camera are presented. Considering the central catadioptric system, a straight line is projected into a circle on the viewing spherical surface for the first ...

Septin 9 polybasic domains couple phosphoinositide‐rich membrane binding to centrosome positioning, Golgi organization, and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity. Their loss disrupts this axis, causing centrosome mispositioning, Golgi fragmentation, reduced microtubule acetylation, and polarity inversion via upregulation of the ...

Geometric Rectification Using Feature Points Supplied by Straight-lines
AbstractAs the geometric rectification methods are mostly based on ground control points (GCPs), the geometric accuracy of remote sensing image usually fails to meet the demand in the area of lack of feature points. Straight-line features can be the supplement of GCPs.

This study reveals that the small GTPase Rab14 is necessary for human papillomavirus (HPV) infection and plays an essential role in the transport of virions to the trans‐Golgi network (TGN). HPV in the early endosome (EE), which harbors GTP‐bound Rab14, is transported to the TGN through the switch of Rab14 from its GTP‐bound to GDP‐bound form.
