Effect of initial texture on the formability of Zircaloy-4 sheet in stamping with FEM-VPSC modeling
Zircaloy-4 (Zr-4) sheets are widely used in nuclear industry as assembly structural parts due to its low neutron absorption cross, excellent corrosion resistance and mechanical properties.

This study shows that superalloys used in aircraft engine disks become much more prone to deformation at high temperatures if they have been strained during manufacturing. This effect increases with the level of prior strain but eventually reaches a limit.

Détermination de l'influence du trajet de déformation sur la courbe limite de formage
The aim of this study is to predict the strain path influence on the forming limit diagram, from the limit stress curve. We consider two types of path, composed of two straight segments corresponding to stretching-tension and tension-stretching ...

Precipitation Simulations of the O‐Phase in Ti2AlNb Alloys Processed by Laser Powder Bed Fusion
Simulated and experimental evolution of the O‐phase volume fraction during postprocessing of a Ti‐21Al‐25Nb (at.%) alloy processed by laser powder bed fusion. With results of sensitivity to input parameters from a thorough and quantified analysis, the interfacial energy matrix/precipitate is the most relevant input parameter for the simulation of the O‐

A Dislocation Perspective on Strength and Toughness in Ceramics
Dislocations in ceramics enjoy a long but yet under‐appreciated history. The three research waves for dislocations in ceramics highlight the topic evolution over the last 90 years. This review focuses on the impact of dislocation on strength and toughness in ceramics.

A combined experimental–computational framework identifies energy‐dependent laser absorptivity for NiTi in laser powder‐bed fusion, applicable to conduction and transition modes. Single‐track experiments and thermofluid smoothed particle hydrodynamics simulations are coupled through inverse analysis of melt pool geometry.

Comparison of Triply Periodic Minimal Surface Energy Absorbers Under Uniaxial Compressive Loading
This study investigates LCD 3D printed Triply Periodic Minimal Surface (TPMS) structures as mechanical energy absorbers. By comparing various base designs and layered combinations under uniaxial compression, it identifies that a Diamond‐Gyroid sandwich structure offers superior performance.

Strain path dependence in ferritic steel polycrystals [PDF]
There is evidence to show that subjecting steel sheets to non-proportional biaxial strains can result in higher limit strains or conversely, premature failure depending on the strain path followed.
