Ionic Liquids at the Interface With the Transition Metal Dichalcogenide MoS2: Effect of the Chemical Structure on Induced Charge Carrier Density

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
Ionic liquid gating of MoS2 channels using [EMIM][TFSI] or [EMIM][BF4] can lead to different carrier densities. [TFSI]‐based systems exhibit steeper voltage decay (compared to [BF4]‐based systems) meaning the potential drops more rapidly across the electric double layer, indicating stronger local electric fields and more efficient charge accumulation ...

Highly Efficient and Cytocompatible Panchromatic Photoinitiators for Photopolymerization and High‐Resolution 3D Printing beyond 450 nm

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
Phenothiazine photoinitiators P1 and P2 exhibit panchromatic photoinitiation through efficient SET with iodonium salts. P2 enables rapid red‐light polymerization, while both systems perform under sunlight and smartphone light. P1 supports 460 nm DLP 3D printing and shows lower cytotoxicity than TPO, offering safer photoinitiators for high‐precision ...

Laponite Network Controls FGF‐2 Release and Drives Functional Nerve Regeneration via 3D‐Printed Nerve Wrap Interfaces

open access: yesSmall Methods, EarlyView.
We developed a 3D‐printed nerve interface integrating a biomimetic nanocomposite hydrogel with sustained delivery of thermostable FGF‐2. The bioactive interface supports Schwann cell activity and myelination while providing a regenerative microenvironment.
