Transcriptional profiling of circulating extracellular vesicles from prebiopsy prostate cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
RNA profiling of circulating extracellular vesicles (EVs) from blood samples of men undergoing prostate biopsy identifies transcripts associated with clinically significant prostate cancer. Integrative analysis with public tumor datasets links EV‐derived gene signatures to tumor stage and progression‐free survival, highlighting CASP3, XRCC2, and RIT1 ...

Variation of Ground Temperature along the Stratum Depth in Ice-rich Tundra of Hinggan Mountains Region, NE China

open access: yesGeosciences, 2020
A pile foundation in a permafrost region is in a negative-temperature environment, so concrete is affected by the negative temperature of the surrounding soil.

Governing the compact city: The role and effectiveness of strata management [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
This research charts the key issues facing the governance and management of strata buildings and is the first major study of the strata sector undertaken in Australia.• An estimated three million people live in strata titled homes in Australia.

Loss of IGF‐1R impairs DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin leading to defective end‐joining

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
IGF‐1R promotes radioresistance by facilitating DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin, enabling non‐homologous end‐joining (NHEJ) repair of double‐strand breaks. Inhibition or loss of IGF‐1R disrupts this recruitment to damage sites, driving compensatory reliance on microhomology‐mediated end‐joining (MMEJ) repair.

Occurrence of homobaric and heterobaric leaves in two forest types of southern Brazil

open access: yesActa Botânica Brasílica, 2016
In ombrophilous forests, light stratification provokes different adjustments by plants for better use of the environmental conditions of each stratum. Among the morphological traits that vary with strata, the presence of bundle sheath extensions (BSEs ...

USP29‐regulated noncanonical stabilization of the hypoxia‐inducible factor‐α in aggressive prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We identify USP29 as the only DUB mirroring CA9 expression, a marker of hypoxia and HIF pathway activation associated with PCA aggressiveness. USP29 stabilizes HIF‐1α and HIF‐2α via a noncanonical mechanism that is independent of PHD/pVHL activity yet relies on proteasomal regulation, establishing USP29 as a previously unrecognized regulator of hypoxic

Spatial and single‐nuclei transcriptomics reveals idiosyncratic and generic patterns in papillary and anaplastic thyroid cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Matched spatial transcriptomics and single‐nuclei RNA‐seq were generated for anaplastic and BRAFV600E papillary thyroid cancers revealing generic and tumor‐specific states occurring in cancer cells and in the tumor microenvironment. In this context, cancer dedifferentiation mirrored organoid maturation through ordered thyroid marker gain/loss ...

Survey of moisture distribution between tile drainage laterals and its relationship to compaction and rooting depth in flat clay soils [PDF]

open access: yes, 1990
Three tile drained farms on flat, poorly drained Brookston clay soil in northern Essex County were studied with respect to soil moisture distribution between drainage laterals and its relationship to compaction, root growth, crop development, and yields.

Circulating microRNA signatures of cachexia and cancer in Canis familiaris as a comparative oncology model for human disease

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Circulating microRNAs as biomarkers of cachexia and sex‐specific cancer in senior dogs. In 25 client‐owned dogs, four circulating miRNAs (miR‐15a, miR‐15b, miR‐16, miR‐140) were downregulated in cachexia, with miR‐16 the strongest individual biomarker (AUC = 0.899).

The non-Newtonian fluid mathematical model for strata static temperature forecast

open access: yesActa Physica Sinica, 2005
Firstly,we choose a strata temperature gradient and start to compute.According to thermodynamic parameters, mud fluid parameters and well casing structure parameters etc.,the exit temperature of mud fluid can be obtained.By comparing the calculated value with the measured value of the exit temperature,we correct the chosen strata temperature gradient ...
