Strategy-proof tie-breaking [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
We study a general class of priority-based allocation problems with weak priority orders and identify conditions under which there exists a strategy-proof mechanism which always chooses an agent-optimal stable, or constrained efficient, matching. A priority structure for which these two requirements are compatible is called solvable.

Avidin is evolutionarily conserved in fish but dispensable for development and resistance against Streptococcus agalactiae in zebrafish

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The presence of biotin‐binding avidin proteins in fish and their biological significance are poorly characterized. We cataloged fish avidins and demonstrate that they are widely present and evolutionarily conserved. We created avd knockout zebrafish and show that zebavidin is dispensable for development and that resistance of avd knockout embryos in ...

A Note on Isomorphism Theorems for Semigroups of Order-Preserving Transformations with Restricted Range

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 2015
Finding necessary and sufficient conditions for isomorphism between two semigroups of order-preserving transformations over an infinite domain with restricted range was an open problem. In this paper, we show a proof strategy to answer that question.

A general strategy-proof fair allocation mechanism revisited [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper revisits the fair and optimal allocation mechanism (Sun and Yang, Economics Letters 81:73-79, 2003) and demonstrates that it is coalitionally strategy-proof.

Paramagnetic Rim Lesions Are Associated With Trans‐Synaptic Degeneration of the Visual Pathway in Multiple Sclerosis

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objectives Retrograde trans‐synaptic degeneration (rTSD) from posterior visual pathway lesions in multiple sclerosis (MS) is characterized by hemi‐macular ganglion cell‐inner plexiform layer (GCIPL) thinning and contralateral visual field loss.

A Novel Strategy-Proof Auction Mechanism for Hybrid Spectrum Allocation

open access: yesInternational Journal of Information and Communication Technology Research, 2014
Auctions have been widely studied as an efficient approach of allocating spectrum among secondary users in recent years. On the other side, a wide range of frequency bands could be available in a spectrum auction considering the current trend of ...

Choroid Plexus Enlargement and USPIO‐Based Inflammatory Feature in Cerebral Small Vessel Disease

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective The choroid plexus (CP) is a key component of the blood–cerebrospinal fluid barrier (BCSFB), but its mechanism of action in cerebral small vessel disease (CSVD) remains unclear. This study investigated CP volume (CPV) alterations and their association with conventional imaging markers in CSVD and explored the underlying role of ...

Baseline Neuroinflammation Stratifies TSPO‐PET Response to Disease‐Modifying Therapy in Multiple Sclerosis

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To investigate which baseline clinical and imaging characteristics best predict TSPO‐PET‐measurable reduction in glial activation following treatment of multiple sclerosis (MS), to utilize this information for designing more efficient biomarker‐based clinical trials targeting glial activation.
