RaMBat: Accurate identification of medulloblastoma subtypes from diverse data sources with severe batch effects

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
To integrate multiple transcriptomics data with severe batch effects for identifying MB subtypes, we developed a novel and accurate computational method named RaMBat, which leveraged subtype‐specific gene expression ranking information instead of absolute gene expression levels to address batch effects of diverse data sources.

Analysis and Prediction of the Factors Influencing Postconstruction Surface Deformation of Pipe-Jacking Tunnel in Soft Clay Strata in China

open access: yesAdvances in Civil Engineering, 2023
During the postconstruction operation period, the engineering structure and operation safety of a pipe-jacking tunnel are more likely to be threatened by the surrounding environment and groundwater when it is located in a soft clay stratum.

NKCC1: A key regulator of glioblastoma progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioblastoma (GBM) progression is driven by disrupted chloride cotransporter homeostasis. NKCC1 is highly expressed in stem‐like, astrocytic, and progenitor cells, correlating with earlier recurrence, while overall survival remains unaffected. NKCC1 serves as a prognostic marker and potential therapeutic target, linking chloride transporter imbalance ...

Determination of 3D Analytical Parameters for Ground Deformation Induced by Stratum Loss during Shield Tunneling

open access: yesChengshi guidao jiaotong yanjiu
[Objective] Shield tunneling inevitably induce stratum loss, subsequently causing ground deformation. Existing analytical solutions use undetermined parameters as inputs, but the complexity of parameter determination limits the application of analytical ...

Displacement response characteristics of different sand tunnel excavation faces under true triaxial loading

open access: yesFrontiers in Earth Science, 2023
During the construction of subway tunnels, the geotechnical body is affected by excavation to produce three-dimensional spatial deformation. The deformation of geotechnical bodies is an important safety hazard for project advancement, so it is important ...

Mechanism of Stratum Instability and Dynamic Deformation under Discontinuous Boundary Conditions

open access: yesApplied Sciences
A fault disrupts the continuity of the rock strata in a mining area. To study the law governing the fracture of overlying strata in mining areas under discontinuous boundary conditions, the overlying strata were redefined and grouped based on the activity characteristics of each rock layer during the overall movement of the overlying strata.

Structure–Function Decoupling of the Sensorimotor and Default Mode Networks in Black Americans With MS

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background and Objectives Multiple sclerosis (MS) exhibits racially disparate rates of disease progression. Black people with MS (B‐PwMS) experience a more severe disease course than non‐Hispanic White people with MS (NHW‐PwMS). Here we investigated structural and functional connectivity as well as structure–function decoupling in the ...

A Systematic Comparison of Alpha‐Synuclein Seed Amplification Assays for Increasing Reproducibility

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Seed amplification assays (SAAs) enable ultrasensitive detection of misfolded α‐synuclein across biofluids and tissues. Yet, heterogeneity in protocols limits cross‐study comparability and clinical translation. Here, we review α‐synuclein SAA methods and their performance across various biological matrices.

Main Factors of Mesozoic Tectonic Deformation in the Erlian Basin, Inner Mongolia, China: Insights from Physical Modelling

open access: yesGeofluids, 2022
Erlian Basin is a Mesozoic oil and gas-bearing basin in northeast of China. The extension rate, extension direction, and stratum thickness of this rift basin have a clear control on its shape and extension.

Magnetohydrodynamic Flow of Casson Fluid through a Vertical Deformable Porous Stratum

open access: yesInternational Journal for Research in Applied Science and Engineering Technology, 2018
Magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) flow of Casson fluid through a vertical deformable porous stratum is studied. The governing ordinary differential equations of the fluid velocity, the displacement and the heat transfer are solved numerically using shooting technique.
