Reverse-Rotation Test for the Determination of Stray Load Loss in Induction Machines
Transactions of the American Institute of Electrical Engineers, 1939VARIOUS methods for the accurate determination of stray load loss in induction machines have been devised in recent years. Also older methods have been improved and developed as the nature of the loss has become better understood. The employment of different methods of testing on a given machine seldom shows complete agreement in results, due to minor ...

MOSFET switching behaviour under influence of PCB stray inductance
IAS '96. Conference Record of the 1996 IEEE Industry Applications Conference Thirty-First IAS Annual Meeting, 2002An analytical expression is derived for the power MOSFET turn-off overvoltage, including the influence of PCB interconnects. The entire PCB is modeled by means of the partial element equivalent circuit (PEEC) method. The PCB model associated with a simple MOSFET model permits computation of maximum overvoltage with good precision.

STRAY LOSSES IN A SINGLE‐SIDED LINEAR INDUCTION MOTOR
COMPEL - The international journal for computation and mathematics in electrical and electronic engineering, 1992The paper deals with the method of the stray losses calculation in single‐sided linear induction motors. The stray losses produced by the higher space harmonics of the primary winding MMF and by the primary slots have been discussed.

Stray Load Losses in Induction Machines
1986Understanding and minimizing loss are the main objectives of seeking solutions to the problems of stray loss in induction machines. This thesis contributes towards this objective by addressing the various problems of stray load loss. These problems include the questions of definition, origin, components, and effects; theoretical and experimental means ...

Survey of basic stray losses in squirrel-cage induction motors
Proceedings of the Institution of Electrical Engineers, 1964A study of the literature reveals that there is still considerable confusion on various aspects of stray losses, particularly with regard to their definition and origin. Accordingly the theoretical information is presented in a rationalised and systematic way to obtain a fully comprehensive approach, based on classifying stray losses into two groups ...

Analysis of Stray EM Fields Generated by Induction Cooktops
2013Induction cooking units work by generating a radio frequency (RF) magnetic field for heating purposes. Concerns have been expressed from time to time about whether induction cookers may present a health hazard to humans. The first paper, “Analysis of Stray EM Fields Generated by Induction Cooktops”, authored by Marco Bullo, Fabrizio Dughiero and ...
