Maximization of k-Submodular Function with d-Knapsack Constraints Over Sliding Window
Submodular function maximization problem has been extensively studied recently. A natural variant of submodular function is k-submodular function, which has many applications in real life, such as influence maximization and sensor placement problem.

Modelling and Scheduling Lot Streaming Flexible Flow Lines [PDF]
Although lot streaming scheduling is an active research field, lot streaming flexible flow lines problems have received far less attention than classical flow shops. This paper deals with scheduling jobs in lot streaming flexible flow line problems.

Semi-Streaming Algorithms for Annotated Graph Streams
Considerable effort has been devoted to the development of streaming algorithms for analyzing massive graphs. Unfortunately, many results have been negative, establishing that a wide variety of problems require $Ω(n^2)$ space to solve. One of the few bright spots has been the development of semi-streaming algorithms for a handful of graph problems ...

Here, we establish a low‐dose liquid‐phase electron microscopy workflow for real‐time observation of biological processes in hydrated conditions. Beam damage is reduced by imaging only 20% of the pixels and reconstructing the complete image using an inpainting algorithm.

Streaming Algorithms for Products of Probabilities
We consider streaming algorithms for approximating a product of input probabilities up to multiplicative error of $1-ε$. It is shown that every randomized streaming algorithm for this problem needs space $Ω(\log n + \log b - \log ε) - \mathcal{O}(1)$, where $n$ is length of the input stream and $b$ is the bit length of the input numbers.

Annotations in data streams [PDF]
The central goal of data stream algorithms is to process massive streams of data using sublinear storage space. Motivated by work in the database community on outsourcing database and data stream processing, we ask whether the space usage of such ...
