An Improved Data Stream Algorithm for Clustering
The paper deals with the problem of the \(k\)-center problem, i.e., given a set of points \(P\) in a metric space and an integer \(k\), we want to find \(k\) points \(c_1, c_2, \dots, c_k\) such that \(\max_{p \in P} \min_{1\leq i \leq k} |p c_i|\) is minimized, where \(|pq|\) denotes the distance between \(p\) and \(q\).

Breaking Bottlenecks in Solid Electrolyte Discovery With Large Artificial Intelligence Models
Large AI models are presented as a route to break key bottlenecks in solid electrolyte discovery by linking materials databases, machine‐learning interatomic potentials, large language models, and autonomous experiments. This perspective highlights how AI can accelerate the identification of solid electrolytes with fast ion transport, stable interfaces,

Complete Subhedge Projection for Stepwise Hedge Automata
We demonstrate how to evaluate stepwise hedge automata (Shas) with subhedge projection while completely projecting irrelevant subhedges. Since this requires passing finite state information top-down, we introduce the notion of downward stepwise hedge ...

Placing Multimode Streaming Applications on Dynamically Partially Reconfigurable Architectures
By means of partial reconfiguration, parts of the hardware can be dynamically exchanged at runtime. This allows that streaming application running in different modes of the systems can share resources.

Engineering Streaming Algorithms.
Streaming algorithms must process a large quantity of small updates quickly to allow queries about the input to be answered from a small summary. Initial work on streaming algorithms laid out theoretical results, and subsequent efforts have involved engineering these for practical use.

Strongly adhered cells align with concentric circular ridges and exhibit predominantly tangential motion, whereas weakly adhered cells fail to follow topographical guidance and display enhanced radial inward motion. ABSTRACT Living cells establish long‐range orientational order through collective alignment, giving rise to topological defects whose ...
