The Many Streams of the Magellanic Stream [PDF]
AbstractAs a part of the ongoing H i survey by the consortium for Galactic studies with the Arecibo L-band Feed Array (GALFA-HI), we have recently imaged the tip of the MS and found several long filamentary structures. This demonstrates that the northern portion of the MS, which has been interacting with the Galactic halo for a long time, is more ...

RMLStreamer-SISO: an RDF stream generator from streaming heterogeneous data [PDF]
Stream-reasoning query languages such as CQELS and C-SPARQL enable query answering over RDF streams. Unfortunately, there currently is a lack of efficient RDF stream generators to feed RDF stream reasoners. State-of-the-art RDF stream generators are limited with regard to the velocity and volume of streaming data they can handle.

A southern sky survey of H I in the velocity range — 340 km s−1 to +380 km s−1 has shown that a long filament of H I extends from the Small Magellanic Cloud (SMC) region down to the South Galactic Pole and connects with the long H I filament discovered recently by Wannier and Wrixon (1972) and van Kuilenburg (1972). There is also some evidence that the

Uniform Modelling of the Stellar Density of Thirteen Tidal Streams within the Galactic Halo [PDF]
We present the results of fitting a flexible stellar stream density model to a collection of thirteen streams around the Milky Way, using photometric data from DES, DECaLS, and Pan-STARRS. We construct density maps for each stream and characterise their tracks on the sky, width, and distance modulus curves along the length of each stream.

Characterization of Stream Meanders for Stream Restoration [PDF]
Recently increased emphasis and attention has been given to river management and restoration of modified streams. A variety of restoration techniques and objectives exist, including asymmetrical cross-section construction, point bar development, two-stage channel design, floodplain approaches, pools and riffles re-creation, and sinuosity and meander ...
