Simplified Strength Analysis of Jack-Ups
Southeast Asia Show, 1984ABSTRACT New challenges are posed on structural analysis of jack-ups when moving to deeper water, more harsh environment and application high tensile steel. Dynamic behaviour becomes more prevailing and fatigue due to wave loads may become governing.

Muscle strength assessment from EMG analysis
Medicine & Science in Sports & Exercise, 1980ABSTRACT CHAFFIN, DON B., MYUN LEE, and ANDRIS FREIVALDS. Muscle strength assessment from EMG analysis. Med. Sci. Sports Exercise. Vol. 12, No. 3, pp. 205–211, 1980. Isometric strength is a useful indicator of a person's capacity to safely perform tasks requiring high physical effort.

Analysis of Shear Strength of Wood
Key Engineering Materials, 2011This paper presents the analysis of different types of shear strength of wood which can differ very much due to its structure and different orientations of applied load. These combinations of wood structure and load orientations lead to different modes of fracture. The main aim of the paper is to find a relation among all types of shear strength of the

Factor Analysis of Strength Variables
Research Quarterly. American Association for Health, Physical Education and Recreation, 1967Abstract The purpose of this study was to test a hypothesized factor structure for a number of test variables which have been used to assess strength. An analysis indicated that 11 factors might be present in this domain, but that only 8 of these could be readily represented by test variables. Data were collected on college women for 29 variables.

Strength analysis of particulate polymers
Composites Part B: Engineering, 2013Abstract Impregnating polymeric matrix with stiff particles may significantly improve structural response of a composite material. Such improvements have to be weighed against the effects of the stress concentration at the particle–matrix interface that influence local strength and toughness.

In Chapter 5 we looked at the stiffness aspects of various laminate configurations. We went through the computational procedures for calculating the laminate stiffnesses and equivalent elastic constants. We also noted the stiffness characteristics of commonly used laminate configurations.

In Chapter 2, we looked at the stiffness analysis of a ply, whereby we developed the stress-strain and strain-stress relationships. Now, given a complex stress system acting on a ply, we need to assess the ply strength to determine whether the ply has failed using an appropriate failure criterion.

Strength Analysis of Adhesively Bonded Repairs
2003The use of fibre reinforced plastics has grown in recent years in aerospace, automotive and marine structures. The maintenance and repair of these structures are always of main concern to the end-users as well as the manufactures. On an aircraft, the need to repair a component can arise from physical damage due to accidental impact, bird strike ...
