Experimental study on material ratio and strength performance of geopolymer-improved soil

, 2020
Geopolymer binder is a kind of green cementitious material with fast hardening, high strength, low shrinkage, and acid-alkali corrosion resistance. It is very beneficial to ensure the firmness, stability, and durability of subgrade structure in cold ...

Strength of polyethylene and capron as a function of stretch ratio

Polymer Mechanics, 1971
The relation between the strengths and stretch ratios of a capronmonofilament and a high-pressure polyethylene film has been investigated for various stretching temperatures and stretching rates. The strength, measured at −196°C (σ−196), is directly proportional to the stretch ratio (λ).

The compressive to tensile strength ratio of pharmaceutical compacts

International Journal of Pharmaceutics, 1993
Abstract The tensile and compressive strength of cylindrical compacts of lactose and microcrystalline cellulose has been assessed by diametral compression and axial loading, respectively. The ratio of the compressive to the tensile strength of the specimens indicates that lactose is more brittle in character than microcystalline cellulose.

Assessing Strength of Multi-Infeed LCC-HVDC Systems Using Generalized Short-Circuit Ratio

IEEE Transactions on Power Systems, 2019
In this paper, a generalized short-circuit ratio (gSCR) is proposed for assessing the grid strength of multi-infeed LCC-HVDC (MIDC) systems by the theoretical analysis of the relationship between static voltage stability and grid strength.

Assessing Impact of Renewable Energy Integration on System Strength Using Site-Dependent Short Circuit Ratio

IEEE Transactions on Sustainable Energy, 2018
The increasing penetration of renewable energy sources (RESs) can challenge both power system planners and operators to maintain system reliability. Potential power system stability issues may arise when a large amount of RESs are connected to a weak ...
