Fracture behaviour of cracked nanobeams by means of the stress-driven non-local model
In the present paper, the Mixed Mode fracture behaviour of nanobeams under static loading is investigated by using the stress-driven nonlocal theory of elasticity, according to the Bernoulli-Euler beam theory. More precisely, an edge-cracked nanobeam is examined.

Data-model coupling driven stress field measurements
This paper presents a method for measuring stress fields within the framework of coupled data models, aimed at determining stress fields in isotropic material structures exhibiting localized deterioration behavior without relying on constitutive ...

Central Nervous System Tumors Among Infants in Canada: A Report From CYP‐C
ABSTRACT Background Central nervous system (CNS) tumors in infants are rare, pose unique clinical challenges, and lack large‐scale evidence‐based data to guide management. This study seeks to describe CNS tumors in Canadian infants and to compare their outcomes with those of older children.

ABSTRACT Rates of cancer among adolescents and young adults (AYA), age 15–39 years, are increasing. Consequently, radiation oncologists are treating more AYAs who have diagnoses spanning both pediatric and adult practices. Compared to pediatric and older adult patients, AYAs face a unique set of challenges.

A stress driven growth model for soft tissue considering biological availability
Some of the key factors that regulate growth and remodeling of tissues are fundamentally mechanical. However, it is important to take into account the role of bioavailability together with the stresses and strains in the processes of normal or pathological growth.

ABSTRACT Background Chronic micro‐inflammation in patients with end‐stage renal disease (ESRD) is a significant driver of cardiovascular complications and diminished quality of life. While standard hemodialysis (SHD) effectively manages small‐molecule clearance, its ability to remove medium‐to‐large uremic toxins—the primary catalysts of systemic ...

A Novel Algebraic Stress Model with Machine-Learning-Assisted Parameterization
Reynolds-stress closure modeling is critical to Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes (RANS) analysis, and it remains a challenging issue in reducing both structural and parametric inaccuracies. This study first proposes a novel algebraic stress model named as

ABSTRACT Background Japan has one of the highest dialysis prevalence rates worldwide and a shrinking, aging population. Whether dialysis burden has entered a sustained post‐peak phase or whether recent declines partly reflect pandemic‐related disruptions remains uncertain.

Organoids in pediatric cancer research
Organoid technology has revolutionized cancer research, yet its application in pediatric oncology remains limited. Recent advances have enabled the development of pediatric tumor organoids, offering new insights into disease biology, treatment response, and interactions with the tumor microenvironment.
