Synthesis, Characterization, and Recyclability of a Functional Jute-Based Geopolymer Composite
This study describes the properties of geopolymer composites reinforced with bidirectional jute fibers. Their flexural strength is 12 MPa, four times higher than the strength of non-reinforced reference geopolymers.

A new slurry-based method of preparation of specimens of sand containing fines [PDF]
A new method of specimen reconstitution is presented that is appropriate for element testing of sands containing either plastic or nonplastic fines. The method allows reconstitution of homogeneous, saturated specimens of sands containing fines whose ...

Experimental Study of Rubberized Concrete Stress-Strain Behavior for Improving Constitutive Models
Inclusion of rubber into concrete changes its behavior and the established shape of its stress-strain curve. Existing constitutive stress-strain models for concrete are not valid in case of rubberized concrete, and currently available modified models ...

A Molecular Dynamics Study of the Mechanical Properties of Twisted Bilayer Graphene
Graphene is one of the most important nanomaterials. The twisted bilayer graphene shows superior electronic properties compared to graphene. Here, we demonstrate via molecular dynamics simulations that twisted bilayer graphene possesses outstanding ...
