Thermoelastoplastic Stress-Strain State of Rectangular Plates
International Applied Mechanics, 2005The authors propose a method of solving thermoelastoplasticity problems for rectangular plates of variable thickness under arbitrary boundary conditions on their edges. The method employs the rectilinear element hypothesis with the use of correlations of simple loading processes.

Stress-strain state of modern tires
Mechanics of Composite Materials, 1984Rather reliable computational methods, based on equations of the moment-free theory of shells, have been developed for the earlier diagonal type of automobile tires. Biderman et al. [i] discuss these methods in detail~ Conversion from diagonal to radial tires required the use of more precisely defined models, since it was no longer possible to neglect ...

Stress–Strain State of Coiled Steel
Steel in Translation, 2017In a new mathematical model of the stress–strain state of steel strip in the course of cooling, the nonplanarity, surface roughness, and transverse thickness variation (convexity of the cross section) are taken into account. The stress–strain state of a coil of thin steel sheet has a significant influence on factors such as the temperature distribution

Stressed-strained state of flexible elastic multilayer shells
International Applied Mechanics, 1998The authors treat a linear elastic shell as a three-dimension body consisting of \(N\) layers. It is assumed that any two adjacent layers differ from each other by physical and mechanical properties. The layers are orthotropic and the contact between them is assumed ideal.

By definition, geomechanics is a theoretical and applied science of the mechanical properties of rocks and mechanical processes, which studies the stress-strain fields that occur in a specific physical environment (Baklashov and Kartozia 1975).

Stress-strain state of solid railway wheels
Strength of Materials, 1990A method for the design of railway wheels, which is based on use of the semianalytical finite-element method and which makes it possible to account for both the forces of contact interaction between the wheel and rail and negative production clearance during the press fitting of wheels, is developed.

Stress-strain state of Francis turbine blades
Hydrotechnical Construction, 19811. Theoretical and experimental investigations made it possible to establish the level of static and dynamic stresses in blades under various operating conditions. 2. The results of the blade strength calculated by the finite-element method are in satisfactory agreement with the experimental data.
