Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Using Keystroke Dynamics in a Multi-Agent System for User Guiding in Online Social Networks
Nowadays there is a strong integration of online social platforms and applications with our daily life. Such interactions can make risks arise and compromise the information we share, thereby leading to privacy issues. In this work, a proposal that makes

Development Trend of the Compressive Strength of an In-Service Sidewall Corroded by Sulphate with a High Concentration of Ca2+ [PDF]
At the bedrock section of the auxiliary shaft of the Tong-ting coal mine, the sidewall has varying degradation degrees in different parts. The part on which water flowed is barely corroded, whereas the moist part near the pouring joints is seriously ...

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

On the Energy Storage Capacity and Design Optimization of Compound Flywheel Rotors with Prestressed Hyperbolic Disks [PDF]
Flywheels used for energy storage may be assembled by press fitting or bonding of concentric rotor parts. During operation, each part is subjected to a superposition of stress fields associated with centrifugal loading and with contact at the component ...

The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.

Plasma membranes contain dynamic nanoscale domains that organize lipids and receptors. Because viruses operate at similar scales, this architecture shapes early infection steps, including attachment, receptor engagement, and entry. Using influenza A virus and HIV‐1 as examples, we highlight how receptor nanoclusters, multivalent glycan interactions ...

Research on the Strain and Stress of Powered Roof Support Construction to Limit Damage
A powered roof support in a mining complex comprises a set of sections positioned side by side. Thus, it creates space for the mining longwall shearer and the excavated material haulage conveyor. The main role of the powered roof support is to secure the
