Differential phase contrast (DPC) imaging in STEM is demonstrated as a rapid, versatile segmentation tool for advanced aluminum alloys. Decomposition of false‐color DPC micrographs resolves nanoclusters, precipitate variants, dislocation strain fields, nanostructures, and grain boundaries ‐ all within a single and fast acquisition.

Abstract The acoustic emission (AE) technique has proven to be an effective method for detecting individual wire breaks in prestressed concrete structures affected by stress corrosion cracking (SCC). However, despite its widespread application, the quantitative assessment of AE monitoring reliability and optimal sensor placement remains unresolved ...

Controversies Surrounding Critical‐Size Defects: Influence of Age and Biological Characteristics
ABSTRACT Critical‐size defects (CSDs) in craniofacial reconstruction refer to osseous gaps that fail to heal spontaneously, increasing the risk of neurological impairment and craniofacial dysmorphology. Despite decades of investigation, controversy still exists surrounding the definition of CSDs, with criteria varying across species, experimental ...

Duplex Stainless Steel Laser‐Surface Textured: Stability in Brine Solution
Controlled laser‐surface treatment (LST) of duplex DSS2205 steel is performed to increase its stability in brine solution under cyclic electrochemical assays. The superior protection with respect to flat and smooth panels is attributed to the presence of FeCr2O4 as the main protective oxide layer in the LST surface, after corrosion tests. The stability
