Stress Distributions in Diblock Copolymers

Physical Review Letters, 2007
We demonstrate how a generalized self-consistent field theory for polymer melts that includes elastic stress and strain fields can be applied to the study of AB diblock copolymers melts. By obtaining the stress distributions for volume conserving strain loadings where lamellar and hexagonal morphologies are stable, we show that the local stress is ...

Stress distribution in hoppers

Powder Technology, 1978
Abstract The method of characteristics, used in a previous paper [1] to calculate limiting stress distributions is granular material in two-dimensional vertical-sided bins, is extended to similar problems in two-dimensional hoppers. Under normal conditions, a continuous solution arises in the active case and a discontinuous one in the passive case ...

Estimation of regional stress and stress distribution

2020
A method for estimating the global stress field from the local stress field evaluated by the field initial stress measurement is discussed. As for numerical analysis of rock stress measurement, few research examples quantitatively evaluate inhomogeneity of the three dimensional initial stress fields in rock masses.

On the Stress Distribution in Laminae

Journal of Reinforced Plastics and Composites, 1988
An elastic analysis of fiber-reinforced composites subjected to normal or/and shear stress in planes normal to the fiber direction is presented. The effect of material properties on the stress distribution is studied and a stress concentration factor valid for all the laminae presently used in industry is obtained.

Stress-distribution in the alveolar bone

Journal of Biomechanics, 1968
Abstract A method using photoelastic procedures has been described for the detection of stresses in the alveolar bone. An evaluation of the magnitude of the stress concentrations in a section of a tooth socket is given and the result compared with the known physical properties of the tissues concerned.
