Regional stress field in Yunnan revealed by the focal mechanisms of moderate and small earthquakes
We determined focal mechanism solutions of 627 earthquakes of magnitude M ≥ 3.0 in Yunnan from January 2008 to May 2018 by using broadband waveforms recorded by 287 permanent and temporary regional stations.

3D Residual Stress Field in Arteries: Novel Inverse Method Based on Optical Full‐field Measurements [PDF]
Abstract: Arterial tissue consists of multiple structurally important constituents that have individual material properties and associated stress‐free configurations that evolve over time. This gives rise to residual stresses contributing to the homoeostatic state of stress in vivo as well as adaptations to perturbed loads, disease or injury.

Analysis of Electron Mobility in Inversion-Mode Al2O3/InxGa1-xAs MOSFETs [PDF]
The electron mobility in Al2O3/InxGa1-xAs (x = 0.53, 0.65, or 0.75) metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistors was analyzed for scattering by oxide charge, as well as interface charge and roughness, and compared with measured transfer ...

Determining the stress field in active volcanoes using focal mechanisms
Stress inversion of seismological datasets became an essential tool to retrieve the stress field of active tectonics and volcanic areas. In particular, in volcanic areas, it is able to put constrains on volcano-tectonics and in general in a better ...

An inverse approach for constructing the residual stress field induced by welding
In this paper, an inverse approach based on the inherent strain method has been proposed for constructing the residual stress field induced by welding. Firstly, some smooth basis functions in the form of polynomials have been employed to approximate inherent strains.

Quaternary tectonic and depositional evolution of eastern Srem (northwest Serbia) [PDF]
The area of eastern Srem is situated in the southern periphery of the Pannonian basin. Its depositional evolution during the Neogene and the Quaternary has been controlled by tectonic processes. Miocene extensional subsidence was followed by the

In Situ Stress Inversion in a Pumped-Storage Power Station Based on the PSO-SVR Algorithm
An accurate in situ stress field is a prerequisite for evaluating the stability of surrounding rock in underground caverns of a pumped-storage power station (PSPS) and ensuring the long-term safe operation of underground powerhouses.
