Stress Distribution Around Roadway of Kunyang No. 2 Phosphate Mine: Analytical Study and Field Verification

open access: yesApplied Sciences
When excavating roadways in underground mines, stress redistribution within the surrounding rock mass leads to stress concentration and release. Should the concentrated stresses exceed the rock mass’s tensile or shear strength, rock deformation and ...

Self-report measures: an overview of concerns and limitations of questionnaire use in occupational stress research

open access: yes, 2001
As is the case with many domains of organisational behaviour, occupational stress research has for many years been characterised by the use of self-report methodologies, in particular the written questionnaire, as the primary means of data collection ...

Interpreting the effects of DNA polymerase variants at the structural level

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using MAVISp and molecular dynamics simulations, we analyzed over 60 000 missense variants in POLE and POLD1 from ClinVar, COSMIC, cBioPortal, and saturation mutagenesis. Identified mechanistic indicators, including stability, binding, and long‐range, enable structural interpretation, providing ACMG‐like evidence for possible reclassification of VUS ...

A Pipeline Hoop Stress Measurement Method Based on Propagation Path Correction of LCR Waves

open access: yesJournal of Marine Science and Engineering
Pipelines are extensively used in offshore equipment. Accurate and non-destructive measurement of hoop stress conditions within pipes is critical for ensuring the integrity of offshore structures.

The roles of learning ability and stress reactivity in coping behaviour change: a CBT-based brief stress-management intervention

open access: yes, 2012
CBT is well established as an effective treatment for a range of mental health problems and its use as a treatment for stress-related problems in occupational settings is also well evidenced; however, not every recipient of CBT necessarily shows ...

Loss of IGF‐1R impairs DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin leading to defective end‐joining

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
IGF‐1R promotes radioresistance by facilitating DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin, enabling non‐homologous end‐joining (NHEJ) repair of double‐strand breaks. Inhibition or loss of IGF‐1R disrupts this recruitment to damage sites, driving compensatory reliance on microhomology‐mediated end‐joining (MMEJ) repair.

USP29‐regulated noncanonical stabilization of the hypoxia‐inducible factor‐α in aggressive prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We identify USP29 as the only DUB mirroring CA9 expression, a marker of hypoxia and HIF pathway activation associated with PCA aggressiveness. USP29 stabilizes HIF‐1α and HIF‐2α via a noncanonical mechanism that is independent of PHD/pVHL activity yet relies on proteasomal regulation, establishing USP29 as a previously unrecognized regulator of hypoxic
