Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

Review and investigation on stress sensitivity of naturally sedimentary soils
The mechanical behaviour of the naturally sedimentary soils generally differs from that of the reconstituted ones, due to the soil structure developed during the depositional and post-depositional processes. It has been well reported that the engineering

Sensitivity of airborne-derived crop stress indices to the agricultural practices [PDF]
When acquired both in optical and thermal infrared domain, remotely sensed data can provide a wide range of information about the status of a crop. Several studies have demonstrated the utility of such information for the development of stress indices ...

The stress sensitivity of permeability in tight oil reservoirs
In the development of tight reservoirs, the permeability of the rock possesses strong stress sensitivity with the dynamic change of formation pressure and effective stress.

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Pressure Transient Analysis for Vertical Well Drilled in Filled-Cave in Fractured Reservoirs
For capturing dynamic information about a filled-cave in the fractured reservoir, a novel Pressure Transient Analysis (PTA) analytical model for a well located at the filled-cave is established.

Stressful life events in childhood and allergic sensitization [PDF]
Stressful life events evidently have an impact on development of allergic diseases, but the mechanism linking stress to pathological changes of immune system function is still not fully understood. The aim of our study was to investigate the relationship between stressful life events, neuropeptide and cytokine concentrations in children as well as the ...
