Interchangeability of Stress and Amphetamine in Sensitization

Science, 1980
In view of similarities between the behavioral, biochemical, and electrophysiological effects of amphetamine and stress, we tested the hypothesis that presentation of a stressor, mild tail pressure, can sensitize an animal to the later effects of amphetamine, and vice versa.

Stress sensitivity characterization and heterogeneous variation of the pore-fracture system in middle-high rank coals reservoir based on NMR experiments

Fuel, 2019
Five groups of middle to high rank coal samples (Ro, max value between 1.87 and 3.01%) were tested under different confine pressures using nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) technology.

Production prediction method of horizontal wells in tight gas reservoirs considering threshold pressure gradient and stress sensitivity

, 2020
This study is aimed at the problem of specific seepage mechanisms, such as the threshold pressure gradient and stress sensitivity, in tight gas reservoirs, which have a tremendous influence on a gas well production prediction.

A multi-linear transient pressure model for multistage fractured horizontal well in tight oil reservoirs with considering threshold pressure gradient and stress sensitivity

Journal of Petroleum Science and Engineering, 2019
In general, tight oil reservoirs has a numerous tiny and complicated throats, and ultra-low permeability, which leads to a low-velocity non-Darcy flow when the fluid flows in tight reservoirs.

The neuroimmunology of social-stress-induced sensitization

Nature Immunology, 2022
Myriad clinical findings provide links between chronic stressors, inflammation, and mood disorders. Furthermore, traumatic or chronic exposure to psychological stressors may promote stress sensitization, in which individuals have long-term complications, including increased vulnerability to subsequent stressors. Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is

Analytical and experimental study of stress sensitivity effect on matrix / fracture transfer in fractured tight reservoir

, 2020
In fractured tight reservoirs, the stress sensitivity effect has important impacts on the law of pressure diffusion as well as the matrix/fracture transfer flow, which is the main fluid migration way.

Simulation of real gas mixture transport through aqueous nanopores during the depressurization process considering stress sensitivity

Journal of Petroleum Science and Engineering, 2019
The study on shale gas transport mechanisms plays an important role in shale gas production simulation. The majority of previous works neglected the body gas diffusion mechanism, and the multiple effects of stress sensitivity and multi-component of gas ...

Stress sensitivity of medium- and high volatile bituminous coal: An experimental study based on nuclear magnetic resonance and permeability-porosity tests

Journal of Petroleum Science and Engineering, 2019
Coalbed methane (CBM) development is in progress in northwestern China, where there are deposits of medium volatile bituminous coal (MVBC) and high volatile bituminous coal (HVBC). Stress sensitivity can lead to low gas-production during CBM development.

Autonomic responsiveness in stress‐sensitive and stress‐resistant pigs

Journal of Veterinary Pharmacology and Therapeutics, 1981
The responsiveness of the autonomic nervous system was studied in twenty‐six 140 day old thiopentone anaesthetized lean stress‐sensitive Pietrain (P) and fatter stress‐resistant Gloucester (G) pigs, using the Valsalva like manoeuvre (VLM), and the i.v. tyramine, noradrenaline (NA) and phenylephrine tests.
