Experimental Measurement Method for Contact Stress of Elastic Metal Sealing Ring Based on Pressure Sensitive Paper

open access: yesMetals, 2018
As a basic mechanical component, the sealing ring is widely used in industrial, aerospatial, and other fields. In this study, an elastic metal C-shaped sealing ring with a wave structure was taken as an example, and its performance was analyzed ...

Inhibiting stearoyl‐CoA desaturase suppresses bone metastatic prostate cancer by modulating cellular stress, mTOR signaling, and DNA damage response

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Bone metastasis in prostate cancer (PCa) patients is a clinical hurdle due to the poor understanding of the supportive bone microenvironment. Here, we identify stearoyl‐CoA desaturase (SCD) as a tumor‐promoting enzyme and potential therapeutic target in bone metastatic PCa.

β‐TrCP overexpression enhances cisplatin sensitivity by depleting BRCA1

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Low levels of β‐TrCP (Panel A) allow the accumulation of BRCA1 and CtIP, which facilitate the repair of cisplatin‐induced DNA damage via homologous recombination (HR) and promote tumor cell survival. In contrast, high β‐TrCP expression (Panel B) leads to BRCA1 and CtIP degradation, impairing HR repair, resulting in persistent DNA damage and apoptosis ...

The performance and prediction ability of advanced approach to ductile fracture [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
The present paper deals with the modelling of ductile fracture which is the result of severe plastic deformation under monotonic loading. It can be the result of a crash or accident or introduced intentionally. There is a need of increasing the safety in

Nicotinamide N‐methyltransferase promotes drug resistance in lung cancer, as revealed by nascent proteomic profiling

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
AZD9291 has shown promise in targeted cancer therapy but is limited by resistance. In this study, we employed metabolic labeling and LC–MS/MS to profile time‐resolved nascent protein perturbations, allowing dynamic tracking of drug‐responsive proteins. We demonstrated that increased NNMT expression is associated with drug resistance, highlighting NNMT ...

Stress Analysis of Meshing Gear with Staggering Tooth

open access: yesJixie chuandong, 2015
The contact stress and bending stress are calculated and comparatively analyzed with the same meshing tooth width by using three methods of the national standard formula based,Romax software(full tooth meshing) and Romax software(staggering tooth meshing)

PARP inhibitors elicit distinct transcriptional programs in homologous recombination competent castration‐resistant prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PARP inhibitors are used to treat a small subset of prostate cancer patients. These studies reveal that PARP1 activity and expression are different between European American and African American prostate cancer tissue samples. Additionally, different PARP inhibitors cause unique and overlapping transcriptional changes, notably, p53 pathway upregulation.
