Impact of temperature and season on ant foraging activity of two invasive species in a Mediterranean urban area

open access: yesEcological Entomology, Volume 49, Issue 5, Page 673-681, October 2024.
Foraging activity was recorded around nests of two invasive species, Tapinoma magnum and Tapinoma darioi, in southern France, along a whole year and over a broad range of temperatures. Activity pattern did not differ between the two species, suggesting that differential response to temperature is not responsible for the differential invasion pattern ...

Investigating student perceptions and vulnerability to heat stress in campus residences using Reddit: Climate change, health, and wellbeing

open access: yesCanadian Geographer / Le géographe canadien, Volume 68, Issue 3, Page 394-409, Autumn / automne 2024.
Abstract This exploratory research investigated the sufficiency of existing infrastructure to adapt to high temperatures and explored the perceptions of heat stress from students in on‐campus residences at the U15 Group of Universities in Canada. The prevalence of air conditioning in student residences was used to estimate the adaptive capacity of ...

Overpressures: Causal Mechanisms, Conventional and Hydromechanical Approaches Surpressions : origine, approches conventionnelle et hydromécanique

open access: yesOil & Gas Science and Technology, 2006
Abnormal fluid pressure regimes are commonly encountered at depth in most sedimentary basins. Relationships between effective vertical stress and porosity have been applied, since 1970 to the Gulf Coast area, to assess the magnitude of overpressures ...

Assessing multi‐sensor hourly maize evapotranspiration estimation using a one‐source surface energy balance approach

open access: yesIrrigation and Drainage, Volume 73, Issue 3, Page 988-1009, July 2024.
Abstract In this study, the performance of a one‐source surface energy balance (OSEB) remote sensing (RS) of actual crop evapotranspiration (ETa), incorporating data from different spaceborne, airborne and proximal multispectral data, was evaluated. The RS platforms in this study included Landsat‐8 (30 m pixel size), Sentinel‐2 (10 m), Planet CubeSat ...

Late Dolomitization in Basinal Limestones of the Southern Apennines Fold and Thrust Belt (Italy) Dolomitisation tardo-diagénétique dans les calcaires de bassins triassiques de l’Apennin Méridionale (Italie)

open access: yesOil & Gas Science and Technology, 2012
The Triassic pelagic carbonates of the Lagonegro Units from the southern Apennines fold and thrust belt host discordant bodies of dolostone. These rocks show textural features typical of zebra or saddle dolomites.
