Single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assays for high‐throughput DNA–protein interaction studies
We describe an optimised single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assay that visualises DNA–protein interactions in real time. Linear DNA fragments are tethered to a surface and stretched by buffer flow for fluorescence imaging. Using λ and φX174 DNA, this protocol enhances reproducibility and accessibility, providing a versatile approach for studying diverse ...

ErB4 and NdB4 nanostructured powders are produced by mechanochemical synthesis. 5 h mechanical alloying and 4 M HCl acid leaching are used in the production. ErB4 and NdB4 powders exhibit maximum magnetization of 0.4726 emu g−1 accompanied with an antiferromagnetic‐to‐paramagnetic phase transition at about TN = 18 K and 0.132 emu g−1 with a maximum at ...

Endothelial cell alignment on cyclically-stretched silicone surfaces
Endothelial cells at the interface between the bloodstream and the vessel wall are continuously subjected to mechanical stimulation in vivo, and it widely recognised that such stimulation plays an important role in cardiovascular physiology. Cell deformation is induced by mechanical forces such as cyclic stretch, fluid shear stress, and transmural ...

A Workflow to Accelerate Microstructure‐Sensitive Fatigue Life Predictions
This study introduces a workflow to accelerate predictions of microstructure‐sensitive fatigue life. Results from frameworks with varying levels of simplification are benchmarked against published reference results. The analysis reveals a trade‐off between accuracy and model complexity, offering researchers a practical guide for selecting the optimal ...

Hydromagnetic Flow Over a Heated Stretching Surface
In the present paper on steady flow of a viscous incompressible fluid past a heated stretching sheet with thermal radiation is studied. Magnetic field is applied normal to the flow. With suitable similarity transformations, the momentum and energy equations are reduced to ordinary differential equations.

In this research, the influences of quadratic Boussinesq approximation and quadratic thermal radiation on the heat transfer analysis of magnetized Sisko nanofluid flow with Cattaneo–Christov heat flux through stretching surfaces are studied. The formulated mathematical model is solved by the finite difference technique, and heat transfer rate and skin

The growing demand for lightweight, nontoxic, and multifunctional gamma shielding materials has intensified efforts to find alternatives to conventional lead and aluminum‐based protectants. In this work, we develop epoxy quartz fabric composites reinforced with cobalt chloride (CoCl2) microparticles, fabricated via hand lay‐up with varying filler ...

Carbon nanomaterial‐reinforced epoxy composites exhibit pronounced piezoresistive behavior, enabling intrinsic damage sensing under cyclic and fatigue loading. This review critically compares carbon nanotube and graphene systems, correlating filler content, percolation threshold, and gauge factor with sensing stability and damage evolution.
